I did not yet. I haven't made it a priority but I am still figuring out a mounting solution for the blendmount from my previous car. I thought it would work ok but it ends up slipping out of place too easily to be relied on. Sucks that blendmount doesn't make something for the Type R...
Thanks, I will do that. I do like having the service manual.
I already ordered some additional brake fluid and will be doing another flush this weekend.
Thanks @PointByPatrol. That order is different than I used. Typically used to starting furthest from the reservoir and working closer. I also didn't acuate the parking brake at all, good to know.
Pedal firmed up this morning so it actually feels good throughout the range now but I will get...
Sorted out my brake bleeding problem after installing Dream/Hel braided brake lines and titanium front brake shims. My Remark Titanium exhaust showed up today and I threw that on as well. Shoutout to @MERAKIAUTOWORKS (Josh) for hooking me up with the Remark exhaust.
I bought these when I got my FL5: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09R41TJXQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They have served me well as I have broken a few clips myself on the FL5 and also on my wife's Odyssey. I have used 3 or 4 of the different clip varieties in that...
I remembered I had bought a Speedi-bleed when I was getting the FL5 and tried using that. It just introduced a whole ton of new air bubbles to the system, seems like the outlet side is not sealing properly on the Speedi-bleed reservoir. I am in contact with the mfg to try to sort that out...
It has to be air bubbles, we will see after the rebleed. Master never got low and new copper washers were used on the rear banjo bolts since they came with the new braided lines.
Pedal pressure was good and firm when bleeding each corner. Didn't feel bad until the car was turned on
I have done countless brake bleeds and also completed several braided brake line installations in the past but the FL5 has proven to be difficult for some reason.
After installing the Dream/Hel braided brake lines, I flushed the whole system with Motul RBF660 and used the standard 2-person...
Exactly what I did. I have a Remark Titanium exhaust incoming right now after being given a good deal. I like the look of the actual tips on some other exhausts better but the sound and weight savings of the Remark Ti exhaust are hard to beat.
I had white wheels on a past car (and for a winter wheel set at that). While it would bug me a little since they got dirty quickly, I never regretted the choice. Seeing them clean always brought back the joy of going with white wheels, more so than any other color wheels I have owned. So...
I had the Ferodo DS2500 on the front brakes on my last car. I am with PointByPatrol, swapping the fronts for track driving with a dedicated track pad is the way to go.
That being said, I was very happy with the DS2500 for dual duty. They do need a little more heat into them to build up to...
I did a resonator delete, it is a very marginal increase in volume. The car still sounds like an appliance. I am going to pull the trigger shortly on a catback exhaust to spice things up a bit.
Now a downpipe + removal of at least one resonator may be a more appreciable increase in sound. I am...
I wouldn't say failures, the coolant leeches out a little in some instances. But maybe there have been some legit failures where it dumped the tank contents all over the place that I just haven't seen online. Radium makes some high quality stuff so that would honestly surprise me.
I used a...
I really doubt it would create any difference in those areas (emissions/MPG). My guess - it is purely that some markets have stricter sound restrictions and then the MFG can use it as a marketing tool in areas without those stricter sound restrictions.
