That's included in the $47,145 MSRP. At the end of the day, the OTD price is what matters. We can't help the sales tax we get charged where we live. The guys from CA are hit much harder than the rest of us. I think they're over 10%. Lucky for me it's only 6.25% in TX.

You may not have a choice if you're buying in your state of residence. Even if you're buying out of state you may not have a choice if they ask you. I'm glad they agreed that I pay sales tax in TX.

At the end of the day, the sales tax you pay goes to your state of residence, not who collects it from you. I think you're the same guy who called me out on the price I paid for my car. Posted it again to refresh your memory. If that wasn't you, then I apologize in advance.

I'd rather pay it myself where I live. I don't want to rely on some clerk doing their job correctly and having to deal with the consequences. In my case, I was able to hang on to my sales tax $ for a little more than a month before having to pay when my temp tags were about to expire.

You're not supposed to pay sales tax if you're buying a car out of state. You will eventually pay it where you live. Just purchased my car in Ohio Jan 2, paid sales tax in TX when I registered my car here. If they're collecting tax from you, there's something wrong.
