It is coming together but with some hiccups.
I just got the JRZ suspension in but tried the Vitour tires up front and there were pretty bad.
Not only did they need heat to function but once they got up to temp, they would drop off toward the end of the run. This is with the 315s on an 11" wide...
Those oil temps seem pretty good considering those hot ambient conditions
Looking forward to see you bring the OC to market and order the whole cooling suite
oh wow then that is super surprising, as your wear seems to be so much more inboard then what I experienced with 275/35-18 on 18x9.5 +53 wheels and only -1.8 negative camber per side. My wear was more significant on the center of the tire vs yours appear to be more inboard.
Are still using offset ball joints to achieve the majority of that negative camber?
If so, I'd suggest giving a try at resetting them back to "stock" position and then getting all your negative camber from the top mount as supposedly the Type R has a "near zero" scrub radius.
that wear pattern of the one of the left looks awfully like toe wear.
I wonder if its possible that with the increased front grip, you are getting increased dynamic toe change in the front when under heavy load. Have you thought about upgrading the lower control arm bushings (especially the...
So 315s fit in the front 😁
(I did not check fitment for the rear) While no rubbing so far on Stock suspension, I might need to use wheel spacers with coilovers.
Yeah basically destroying brand new components vs being able to replace is super lame
Some of the local SCCA regions I race with can get pretty strict and I plan to compete at National events, so the decision for me was pretty clear. Much really depends on the tribal culture of...
With the TSP downpipe potentially generating additional heat, I optioned for the PTP heat shield. While it seems to do a good job keeping under the hood temps down, you cannot fit the stock turbo shield around it.
Class rules do not have a specific allowance ("if it doesnt say you can, then...
Depends on value in my experience.
If high value/fragile goods, when stuff arrives damaged, never arrives, or is wrong parts then getting screwed/scammed/ghosted by overseas grey market exporters sucks is a real risk and a gamble.
Decades of sob stories everywhere.
If its something I'd...
They are very much in business and are probably just busy.
I just picked up a set of Spoon engine/trans mounts from them last month.
I would advise to just ping them again.
Interesting that they said removing the OEM Air Temp bracket was optional because just judging by the IC thickness it doesnt look like the OEM bracket would fit. Maybe they meant you can bend the OEM plastic bracket out of the way?
Sorry! Yup, I am referring to the hose routing of the rear JRZ shock compression canisters into the trunk interior. Did you need to drill a through hole?
Picking parts that are legal for class is always tricky.
While it's pricey, the PWR intercooler does meet the letter of the rules, as the it fits with no modifications to the stock plastics, including the temp sensor mount. From what I see most of the larger ICs out there all require the temp...
