I just got an update from Titan 7 and they now estimate the wheels will be arriving toward the end of May 😣
Far from the worst production delay I've seen, but still sucky nevertheless.
Stock pads work great for autox. Once I changed from Kumho V730s to RE71RS I found myself wanting a bit more threshold braking. I am currently using CSG CP pads and they are amazing! A bit more bite than stock, a wide window of modulation for trail braking, and stronger threshold braking. Plus...
No....unfortunately Titan 7 doesn't include center caps and sell them separately.
The ones they offer are very very fancy for center caps! Billet aluminum, double o-ring friction fit and color matched to the wheel. Fitment is very flat to the center area of the wheel.
my experience has been that the OEM LSD can’t really handle much torque with regards actual limited slip action. Anything past something like 30-40% throttle when loaded up in a turn you can expect significant wheel spin.
For me, +R mode and stability off long press is preferred vs pedal dance. Unfortunately as far as I know "stability off long press" only works in +R mode so no real options to play with the other suspension modes
I would recommend applying at the event site and then removing them before you go home. Just bring a bottle a quick detailer to wipe down the area before you apply if you are concerned about paint. At highway speeds they can fly off at times, I know I've lost a number of them at the track over...
I would suggest to try sliding the seat forward after you pull the waist belts snug, then snug the shoulder belts.
That should compress things a bit further for you.
I should mentioned that the area around the lug holes is just enough to fit a very thin walled 22mm. To avoid any potential damage, I would advise going with 19mm lug nuts.
Luckily there are plenty of options out there.
I have some cheap Amazon ones at the moment, but am going to upgrade the Titan7 steel ones. FYI, you cant use the OEM lugs as OEM lugs use a ball seat vs 60* taper type.
MSRP for a set is $2380.00, pretty similar to their other 18” wheels.
More details can be found in the B-Street wheel thread.
Gauging Interest, SCCA BS Legal Fitment Titan 7 wheels
I got tires mounted and I think the new Titans look pretty good!
Titan7 let me kickstart a limited production 5 set batch that will arriving sometime from late-April to mid-May 2024.
Hopefully they will add the wheel to the regular product line up in the near future, but for those wanting to...
I dont think they will put them on the site unless there's enough demand.
You need to email them at [email protected] to place your order. You should be able to choose color too. I think other than the black I chose, they have gold, satin and silver.
