Funny thing at Whitby Oshawa Honda, they don't have stock and no waitlist, but can get me one for a very nice price of $68k + taxes. 0 Add-ons. I really don't know what this is, probably a used one they stored somewhere...

Inquired the Whitby Oshawa one and that's sold. Yes it was for new inventory back then. I can't remember what the add ons were but stuff like ext warranty, wheel locks, tint, etc

Just inquired. I did check on their in stock CTRs last year and they all wanted 66-67k minimum before taxes.

Quoted the Newmarket one, they want 70k before tax. They also quoted me 84mth financing, which after taxes comes out to a grand total of $100k. Yep, think I'm done looking for this car.

Well, the thing is there are people willing to pay 70k for a CTR, that's that's why dealers keep doing this even to this day when sales have been slowing. Time will tell how long they'll keep this practice up..

Yea I give up for now. I was lucky I got my '23 GRC CE at MSRP last year, no games no haggling just straight up sign the papers and give the cheque kind of deal.

I don't think so, it is what the SA said in his email reply to me. "We are keeping the car in inventory until spring. We are not planning to put anyone's name on the Type R and it will be a first come first serve when it does go on sale. "

They are keeping this in inventory till Spring 2025. First come first serve when the time comes.

Yep, ones who are willing to spend would've bought it early this year/last year. I still remember some dude paid $70k for theirs....
