  2. What in your opinion is the best exhaust for the FL5?

  3. What in your opinion is the best exhaust for the FL5?

I had some concern about this as well as the weight of the resonator making the passenger-side tip hang a little lower. I found some slightly shorter hangers for the front of the rear muffler section and some poly hangers with offset holes for the rear that allowed a minor adjustment. Old: New:
  4. DSC Sport Controller Suspension Module

+1 DSC sport controller installed Initial response is that the bump absorption and ride quality improvement in Comfort is quite good. still corners flat, feels more laid back but still light on its feet. Will be exploring sport and +R

You can bend the fins back straight with a pointy little plastic pry tool
  8. FL5 Intercooler Reference Thread

On the hard pipe before the throttle body, it was the hole for mounting the sensor. First tried cleaning it up with a thread chaser but eventually had to drill it out, re-tap and insert one of those mini-springs, worked fine.
  9. FL5 Intercooler Reference Thread

I don’t know if the tube n fin adds some lag that is canceled out by HVI, or if I just haven’t detected small lag increase, but I’m happy. The end tanks are probably half the reason I chose it. HKS was my prior choice. HKS and HPS charge pipes don’t seem to replace the parts near throttle...
  10. FL5 Intercooler Reference Thread

It’s okay, you got the HKS so you’ll be fine
  11. FL5 Intercooler Reference Thread

Definitely a lot lighter than the bar and plate I installed on friend’s. I also added the HVI intake same time, and together no noticeable increase in turbo lag.
  12. Avoiding LSPI

Don’t go WOT in 5th or 6th, roll into throttle in lower gears, keep a linear throttle mapping, when in doubt keep the RPMs up
  13. AEM dryflow filter for PRL HVI intake

Just adding that I finally got mine installed
  14. Acuity centering spring

If you’re going to do the spring (and not the entire shifter), you might as well swap the arm and base bushings while you have it out, it’s all quite subtle, only mildly reduces the sponginess while still feeling smooth and buttery. And then of course you might as well swap the boot and collar lol
  15. How-To: PRL Helical AOS Install

That’s what she said, but also I meant unscrewing the collection chamber and then pulling that out, not draining from the bottom plug. It’s kind of a juggle to remove the bottom of the Mishimoto, then swap grips to get hand and arm out of the way to pull it out from under hoses.
  16. How-To: PRL Helical AOS Install

Thanks Ben, great video as always! Are you sure you can’t just reach in there and unscrew the bottom without removing the top and the hoses? It’s a little tricky but that’s what I do with the Mishimoto.

  18. FL5 Civic Type R Coolant Expansion Tanks: Best Options & Buyer’s Guide

Hi Josh and @Mishimoto, I received this response: I found it difficult to trust, since your tank for this platform doesn’t have a sight tube, it is a sight glass window. Details matter and this appears to be a stock answer without thought. I was requesting a capacity measurement, as in...
