Yes, things get hot when the car is not in motion. You should be looking at IAT relative to ambient temp while the car is moving, because that's when the intake has fresh airflow and is more relevant to actual performance.

I don't understand why you wouldn't just buy one from another state for MSRP, and pay $1000-1500 to have it shipped. I'd rather do that and put money into the hands of a shipping company than throw an extra $5000-10000 to a greedy dealer.
