  1. Looking to buy Type R - considering potential options

I actually moved to a 2004 Mini Hatch (non-S) - there's a specific class for Gridlife for cars in this power-to-weight range that is pretty competitive so that's what I'm running this year (it will definitely be cheaper than an ND/Twin, but obviously also massively slower). I think the ND and...
  2. 285–295 Tire Setup – Wheel Specs & Fitment?

I ran 285/30R18 square on 18x11 ET44 stock w/pins pulled, with lowering springs/camber plates, and on coilovers (I only ran ~-2.75° front camber also). I had no issues with rubbing on either stock shock configuration, and on coilovers the only potential issue is slight interference with the...
  3. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

If anyone is going through/near Nashville I have 2 sets of track wheels available... :)
  4. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

I'll keep it in mind! It would be great to meet everyone! I also have a full GL schedule though, so weekends away are at a premium right now.
  5. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

My [old] car might be there *hint hint see quote*, but I don't know that my Mini could make it up the back straight at 25:1 lbs:whp... :p
  6. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

Since I didn't get a chance to go last year it would be great if my car could go so it can set the FL5 record? 😈
  7. CIVICXI *NOVICE* Track Thread!

I think your list should be good - for rotors I've never swapped out a set of rotors on a car I track due to wear from a thickness perspective (although there should be an official minimum thickness stamped somewhere on the rotors, and I've seen the thickness posted here before) - I always...
  8. Looking to buy Type R - considering potential options

I think in this price point the Civic is pretty impressive. I think if you plan to track it a few times a year 200k may take some extra maintenance, but it is a Honda. For casual track use consumables aren't bad, but if you do try to run competitively as you add power (375whp+) it can start to...
  9. Tennessee ***SOLD*** - 2024 CW Civic Type R - 10k mi, Mild Street/Track Prep

Price reduced - the stickers are all off the car now and it's ready to go!
  10. SOLD [Nashville, TN] FS: PRL 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5 WiFi Ethanol Content Analyzer / Flex Fuel Kit - Used

In case anyone else was curious PRL confirmed that the picture on their website is a generic kit - the FL5 and FK8 use the identical kit/bracketry so it works for both, if anyone is interested with an FK8.
  11. "Official" Lap Times Thread

Nice lap! FWIW, not to take away anything from your lap because that's absolutely a great time for stock power, but the whole GL event this year was heavily compromised with horribly managed sessions and weather (ie, during the first session for most of the fast Street/ClubTR field they left 3...
  12. JST FL5 goes back on the Dyno!

For now it can't read an ethanol sensor directly - you can only use a sensor to manually monitor ethanol content. This really isn't a huge issue as I drove to events on blended fuel for months, but it does take slightly more planning. Cobb seems to be pretty active in supporting the platform...
  13. JST FL5 goes back on the Dyno!

Catless would be a potential problem (if you care about a CEL) but flex is not - while the tune can't (yet) adjust for ethanol content, you can certainly be tuned for a specific ethanol content. @JST Performance tuned my car for e30 on stock injectors and later on e40 on XDI HPFP + 1400cc...
