So I just tried the USB method again with a different drive and was able to download the file. The USB site said there's no updates. So I guess the version number doesn't actually correspond to the software version? Strange.
Well, I guess I'll try to check via the USB site again. How long is it supposed to take to download the vehicle info to the USB? I sat in the car for about 20 minutes and it never said it completed downloading. There was a file on the USB (which had the correct space and formatting), but I...
So I was having issues updating my infotainment system awhile back. I tried both the wireless and USB methods and kept getting an error message. The dealer tried to update it unsuccessfully after I took it in, though the update no longer appears after that visit.
Is the current software version...
Has anyone asked the dealer if they can disable it with their software? I meant to ask during my last oil change but forgot. If not, guess I'll just have to just suck it up and unplug the module. I have an HKS exhaust, and the active sound almost drowns it out on downshifts.
I did feel the sticky steering sensation before I had the recall done last year. The steering felt slightly lighter post-recall, though I think that's mostly because the steering just felt more fluid and less notchy. I wouldn't say it felt loose or worse off. But now it feels like it's gone back...
I've only used the AEM filter with the PRL intake, and the intake still increased induction noise by quite a bit over stock. It also does feel quicker to me, though that could just be the butt dyno of course. Just thought I'd mention in case someone is concerned it would quiet down the intake...
The press release from Honda says they're bespoke, so I would be inclined to believe that. There's some other good technical info in there, too. https://hondanews.com/en-US/honda-automobiles/releases/release-907c81858bdfe231c1cc3d0f70179fdc-2023-honda-civic-type-r-press-kit
I'm not sure since I installed the AEM filter with the intake. Seems loud enough for me. That's good to hear that they do filter better, since that was the main reason I went with it.
I've had the AEM filter on for about two months now and its been fine. From holding both the PRL and AEM filters up to the light, the AEM definitely seems like it would filter better since it's a lot less transparent.
Two Step Performance posted a sound clip of the resonated version paired with their downpipe. Sounds pretty good. https://www.instagram.com/twostepperformance/reel/DFvS5WYJPz-/?hl=en
