I was well aware of the life span for the rear pads on these cars after coming from a ITS (same issue). But I did not expect at 8k miles. After leaving work Thursday night my tire pressure light went on, I knew I had a nail in one of the tires. So I parked the car overnight after topping it off...
Hi, I have a new set In the box when I had ordered the JDM red mirror caps and Suma mirror glass set. I heard that the bumper may have to be removed to install the dual horn set. Any of you folks install these ? Pic for reference.
Hi, I have Suma side view mirrors and rear view mirror set ready to be insalled along w the JDM Mirror caps to swap out w the boring Black caps. The tech I am friends with asked me does the mirror need Scalped (removal of the factory black cover) or are the red ones just double sided taped on...
I worded it incorrectly, my bad. It would not come off easily at the ending part of removal it sounded to me, Saving it was my wording. I would have much rather had the OE plug remian but he did manage to find a shorter copper colored one that fit perfectly.
I had my 1st oil change done on Friday (non Honda dealer) at 4600 miles or so. I used the 0w20 Mobil 5.7 quarts etc, but a new drain plug was needed unfortunatly. The tech could not manage to save it, it was rrplaced w a "shorter" copper colored version. has this happened to other FL5 owners out...
This is common on the ITS also. I had to change my rear pads and resurface the rear rotors at 12-13k. Dealer charged $470? at the time. I read that the e brake button attributes to the rear pad wear. Ever since then I rarely engage it. I now have 2300 miles or so on my R, just normal daily...
I have had both, tough call but I pretty much prefer the CTR. I like the fact its built in Jp and I do see a difference in the build quality on the R vs the S. For example when opening and closing the doors for example.
I love those JDM red mirror caps, I will probably order a set to go w the SUMA mirrors and add the Euro horn to the order. I’m keeping the CW R stock otherwise.
I ordered yesterday (rearview mirror Non auto Dim) it specifies on your website "fits" Non auto dim. So I clicked on that one. If I chose the correct one to dim out the headlight glare ...thats what I am looking for on the CTR.
How many of you members on here are using these if you daily your R ? I’m thinking of ordering a pair. I drive 15k per year so it could be well needed to preserve the seats longer.
This whole thread had me make a few phone calls. I did call a local Honda dealer in my area. I spoke w the S/A and he said he has done or more so the have done numerous R’s w new tire installs etc. And never any issues w rim damage during removal of tire from rim & he also mentioned there is no...
