Seriously this. Everyone HATED the 10th gen when the first spy shots started leaking out. And to that point, honda's always look better in person, they always photograph poorly. Add in camo and fake padding to the mix and it's not meant to be attractive yet.
That is an interesting theory... obviously with camo it's hard to tell, test mule and such who knows... but it definitely shares more with honda styling from what we can see than the direction acura is going with the new TLX... if it was a bit more angular and pointed at the font I think I'd see...
Pretty sure the hand in the picture is the passengers hand. Not the driver's hand. You can even see his face blurred in the pictures.
Also, given the styling of the rims and the design of the headlights, 99.9% sure we can call this a Honda, while different in shape, the headlights still share...

Here's Car and Driver's first article about the spy shots.
It's pretty clear this is a hatchback and not an accord. If you look at the rear 3/4 shots you can see the panel gap where the hatch opens. The civic is due for...
We can only take this with a grain of salt. Preproduction means NOTHING. It probably has a mish mash of current gen and next gen body panels bolted on. When they were testing the 10th gen civic hatch they used the front end of an ILX for gods sake.
Also, there's no way honda would introduce a...
Interesting. The front end is giving me slight BMW 2 series vibes. Silhouette is more or less the same, but definite heavy tweaks to front and rear. Interesting little peak into the interior as well. Glad to see the updated infotainment system. Looks like a whole new design direction for...
From a designer standpoint, I'm thinking their rendering is a bit on the conservative side. That said, Honda will most likely follow it's usual path and the 11th gen will essentially be a reskinned version of the 10th gens. Mechanically identical (or very close, with only minor tweaks), expect...
A couple things after reading through the thread...
1) Nobody mentioned that Honda's don't sell nearly as well in the UK as they do in China/Canada/USA... this could be part of their decision to close the Swindon plant, possibly moving hatch production to a country that has higher sales...
True, but the Si has always been Naturally Aspirated until now. Honda spent years defending the lower power output of its NA engines over turbo charged competition (GTI), and now we have a turbo Si... it wouldn't be all that shocking (especially with the introduction of the CTR to the North...
As i see it, only chance to get an stepped auto from honda going forward will potentially be higher performance models (i.e. 2.oT accord) possibly an option in the next gen civic Si or possible special GT addition of the CTR. The regular model range will stick with the CVT for fuel economy...
