I'm pretty sure the FP/DP are the same on the SI, but I'll defer to @PRL Motorsports to definitely answer. All parts you'll need come with the combo - gaskets, nuts bolts. I have the catless with a Magnaflow cat-back, and it sounds very beefy before the exhaust gasses get enough speed to flow...
In the instance of my X, when I installed my intake fuel economy increased a few MPG. When I installed my cat-back exhaust, fuel economy went down a few MPG. I've noticed my fuel mileage being down even more since I applied the Hondata reflash. I expect the downpipe and frontpipe to slightly...
They could go with a higher CEL cat, but the restriction would be similar to stock. The check engine light is for a catalyst inefficiency code with data obtained from the second O2 sensor. The first O2 sensor before the cat provides data for AFR I believe.
I may keep mine as well and try an angled defouler with some heat wrap stuffed in it. I read a post on another forum where that kept enough gases out to keep CELs off. Or switch to the catless DP and get a K Tuner.
Dang it! I wonder if multiple defoulers or even one like this would keep it off. Not sure how much slack there is in the wiring.

The goal of the v2 cat is to keep CEL's off. The first catted version DID throw a CEL after their street testing, so they are/will be testing with this new cat. Hopefully they succeed in keeping it off!
