This bone stock, 2024 Boost Blue Pearl FL5 comes with both the Type R and Type S ADS suspension modules. It also has the OEM accessories black extended floormats and Type R all-weather trunk mat to go with the original set of red floormats, which were never installed and never removed from their protective plastic wrapper. I didn't let the dealer install the front license plate, so the front of my car looks correct. No ugly license plate bracket, but I will include all the necessary bracketry, hardware and license plate in case you want to install the front plate. The rear license frame is a custom Type R item in matching Boost Blue trim.

My car has 6,100 miles and is in perfect condition. I did the first service at 4,800 miles, so it has fresh oil. The car was never tracked or autocrossed. I followed the owner's manual engine break-in procedure to the letter. I took advantage of the factory TSB fix for the 2022 Civics and had my dealer install felt padding inside the dash to quell plastic-on-plastic buzzing beneath the infotainment screen. I've used this Type R strictly as a daily driver, plus the occasional rip in the local mountains. It has never been abused.

I have it sold through Carmax, but they gave me until October 7th to complete the transaction. So, I'm taking this week to see about selling it private party.

Including the extra set of mats, the trunk pad, the Type R license frame, and both ADS modules, I'll het her go for $47K.

I'm in Roseville, which is near Sacramento in northern California.

Dang that didn’t last long. I thought you loved the car? Any particular reason you’re selling?

I absolutely do love the car. As you are well aware, I often think it's borderline magical.

Anyway, my wrecked back happened. My fixed disability income combined with rampant inflation happened.

This is nothing new for me. Stage IV-A cancer, crash-related cervical reconstructions, and the accompanying devastating lapses in income led me to dump my 2003 GTi VR6, my '2011 MX-5, my 2020 MX-5, my Honda 2017 CB1100, my 2019 Kawasaki Z900, and now this 2024 FL5. Oh, and too many guitars and guitar amps to count.

Do yourself a favor. Skip cancer, and try to avoid getting clobbered on your motorcycle by blind, elderly drivers. Follow those two simple instructions, and you'll be much more likely to keep and enjoy your toys.

good luck with sale man, beautiful car. Best wishes to you, hoping you get another type R eventually, they won't go anywhere.

I'm sorry to hear that. I did sell my Grom a couple months ago due to the concerns of accidents outside my control. It was fun riding but kept having the nagging feeling that someone was going to take me out. I'm pretty sure I'm too old to recover from a serious accident on a bike.

GLWS. I imagine that CarMax gave you pretty close to this for your car. I hope you will still lurk on here as I did appreciate your back and forth on various topics.

Yep, Carmax is giving me $45K. I want just a bit more, but if no one here bites by the 7th I’ll take the Carmax offer and run.

I would just take the Carmax offer and run if the payout is 45k out the door.
