IF we get that far. I hope we get an LE for MY26, but we need confirmation whether MY25 is the last year first. If the FL5 run mirrors the FK8 we could expect a minor refresh for the ‘26MY and a LE model for a final ‘27MY.
Probably don't want to change the supply chain for Japan + port LogR over to the the android automotive unit.
Lol no and probably won'tDid they resolve the cooling and fuel starvation issues from track use yet?
It’s selling so well (and EVs so poorly) there’s no reason they’d stop production.IF we get that far. I hope we get an LE for MY26, but we need confirmation whether MY25 is the last year first.
It’s about the very tight phase 3 noise regulation that will be in place as of 2026 in Japan. This engine is very likely to be unsustainable within that restriction. Honda would very possibly end the production of FL5 once and for all until the next gen hybrid Type R. Even the Japanese market has stopped taking orders shortly after 4 months since the launch. It’s selling so well (and EVs so poorly) there’s no reason they’d stop production.
I don't think Japan stopping orders means anything - you can't even order a Type R in the US. It just means its very popular in Japan. It’s about the very tight phase 3 noise regulation that will be in place as of 2026 in Japan. Cooling issues is wide known but this is the first time i'm hearing of fuel starvation issuesDid they resolve the cooling and fuel starvation issues from track use yet?
Fuel starvation is only a thing when you are low on fuel and turn really hard. That's why most will tell you to keep the gas tank above half way when tracking the car.Cooling issues is wide known but this is the first time i'm hearing of fuel starvation issues
