I've recently had an epiphany.....

I've been through and have my share of cars and like most of us... Im ALWAYS chasing my next "experience"...

I've realized that the most fun and the greatest memories, were made in my previous Hatchbacks. 2007 WRX Wagon, 2008 VW R32, 2013 JCW Clubman. Daily driven and downright fun.

With the R32 and the and the JCW Clubman, they were realizations of long term infatuations. I've always liked VW GTIs and fondly remember driving a friends '98 GTI VR6... The R32 was my ultimate GTI VR6. Same with the Mini, the JCW Clubman was loaded from the factory with Recaro seats, special dealer options etc that made it my "ultimate" Mini (Im Greek and seeing old school VWs and Minis scooting around cities and villages growing up really makes some core memories).

Enter the FL5. It seems that Honda is not planning on making another CTR thats "all motor"... its been echoed by many in the press. Future Type Rs will be either Hybrid or EV... Its time to buy mine then!

Im 6'6" and have two boys (Currently 10 and 8 years old). Im assuming that the FL5 platform will allow someone my height to drive comfortably while allowing for little bodies to sit behind me for school or Saturday Cars and Coffee runs. Ive got a small handful of cars sitting in the garage most of the year because I cant drive the fun cars to work and I dont want to leave the kids at home when we go to car events so Im always taking the daily driver SUV.

The plan is to buy new and find a Sonic Gray car. Mods will be limited in the beginning to maintain a worry free warranty period but we'll see how that goes.

Will keep this thread updated and use it as an ownership log. Not sure if the purchase will happen before EOY 2024 but stoked to become a part of this community.

I'm 6'1" and there is a ton of head room. The lack of sunroof allows the roof to slope up a lot more. It was also designed for track and the use of a helmet.

6'4" here too and there's so much headroom.

I have fully grown kids (20+ yrs) and they can fit in the back without problem.
