Any issues using Integra Type S ecu for cloning?

I've searched but haven't really found an answer.
Are there any issues with cloning a DE5 ecu to our FL5 ecu? I'm wondering because it looks like DE5 ecu are half the price of FL5 ecu which is odd.

1/2 the price probably because they aren’t coming from Japan. Just a guess. Otherwise…I have no idea if you could “clone” it into an FL5 version. Seems like you theoretically could. You might have to be the Guinea Pig tho.

On a basic level can anyone explain what does/doesn't get cloned? Ie, does the odometer get cloned too or is that data actually stored somewhere else? Swapping cloned ECU's won't change the actual mileage on the car right?

EDITED: From what I gathered it does NOT store mileage in the ecu

Yes, true, from what I've been told. It's not a fool proof method of hiding your tuning from Honda. It supposedly keeps counters of key turns and mileage, which are also store elsewhere on the car, so with some diagnostics it will be evident that it's been tampered with.

Is that the same for FL5? I thought there was a difference between fl5 and de5. Or do i purchase the DE5 tune since it's a DE5 ecu? Just trying to be clear
