Just a few questions after my 1st day of ownership...

I have looked in owners manual for info on any break-in procedures but couldn’t find any. So is it ok to just drive it normally? I feel I should at least take it easy on hard accelerations, at least for a little bit.

Do most here let the turbo cool down for 30-60 seconds before shutting off engine?

Owners manual shows a setting to show the gear indicator in the gauge cluster but my settings don’t show that as an option. Looks like it’s only for CVT or Type R Would be neat to see if a Honda tech could plug into diagnostics and ‘turn on’ that feature, assuming it’s possible.

Thanks

Hatch or Si?
If you have been driving normally, you don't need to wait before turning off the engine. You only need to either wait or drive a few cooldown miles if you've been driving really hard to let the oil fall back down to normal operating temps (like in autocross / track driving).

See pages 500-501 for break in info: "During the first 600 miles (1,000 km) of operation, avoid sudden acceleration or full throttle operation so as not to damage the engine or powertrain.
Avoid hard braking for the first 200 miles (300 km) after purchasing your new vehicle or replacing the brake pads or rotors, to allow for proper break-in."
