Anybody using the OEM car cover or something aftermarket that fits good? I don't have a garage and I'm getting tired of cleaning pollen off of it every time I want to drive. The price of the OEM one looks good on the PRL website but I coulnd't find many reviews on it.

I purchased the OEM on PRL like 3 weeks ago and still haven’t had any status updates

There's a pop up note on PRL's website that states:

OEM Honda/Acura parts may take up to 21 days for fulfillment. Please understand that PRL Motorsports does try to stock as many commonly sold items as possible. Many items are considered "Special Order" and do take some time for us to receive from Honda/Acura direct. If you have any concerns with lead times, please reach out to a customer support representative before placing your order.

Hopefully they'll get it fulfilled for you in short order since it has been a few weeks now. While PRL seems to sell the OEM car cover for the best price, I've had nothing but good experiences with All Discount Parts. I buy all of my OEM parts from them and their shipped prices are hard to beat and I receive my order rather quickly.

I bought the “protection package” with my car, which included the cover. This is probably your best bet as it was designed for the FL5 specifically. Keeping it covered, even when garaged for the winter, is best practice as it will help keep it clean. That’s my intent, but winter had pretty much passed by the time I got my car so I haven’t tested the cover yet.

That's a bummer. Hopefully Clark_Kent is right and they get it to you soon. Their price is $80 less than what I would pay at the dealer with my wholesale account.

Yea I'm thinking I just need to bite the bullet and get the OEM one. The last thing I want is to have to deal with a universal one that flops all over it.

I like PRL. I'm confident I'll do business with them as friends and coworkers of mine have done.

The one thing that I don't care for is their return policy on third party items.... Copy and pasted below.

"Non-PRL Product & Manufacturer Direct / Special Order Return Policy:
Products not manufactured by PRL Motorsports are often not stocked at our facility and drop-shipped from a distributor or manufacturer. Examples: bumpers, hoods, coilovers, (Non-PRL) turbochargers (Precision or Garrett), blow-off valves, wastegates, cat-back exhaust systems, clutch/flywheel(s), etc. We also sell unique, custom items that are often made-to-order and are considered manufacturer direct or special orders items from manufacturers or suppliers. These items are ordered in a case-by-base basis, specifically for each customer. Consequently, items indicated as having this "Manufacturer Direct" or "Special Order" status are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless deemed otherwise. If a Return is issued, Restocking Fees may be applied. "Manufacturer Direct" or "Special Order" items may require a non-refundable deposit. This deposit will not be refunded if the order is cancelled unless the items that were ordered are unattainable from the manufacturer. The buyer assumes responsibility that the items ordered will fit their needs, PRL Motorsports is not responsible for items that were ordered in confidence by the customer for their build, but do not have proper fitment, functionality or performance."

Grammatical errors aside. I'm not okay with... We will not accept your returns unless we will but then there may be a fee.

I understand the logic behind it. This may even be standard practice but I am not okay with it. So for example I initially ordered a Tuxmat from them. It was back ordered and that was okay. I was willing to wait until I read their return policy. I can order directly from Tuxmat and not deal with any of those complications. This is a long-winded way of saying, I would likely order the cover from Honda.

The OEM one is really for indoor use only I believe. You're going to want something more heavy duty for outside use most likely.

It's definitely for outdoor use. The description makes mention of protecting the car from the elements. How well it does that is another consideration.

Since I daily my vehicle and no garage I would like to get this and use it at home and work. Do you get any odd questions when people see it covered?

Interesting. Thanks for pointing this out. I've found many of these companies who sell aftermarket products have oddly worded policies around returns and they often get technical and non-sensical pretty quickly. The lead-in is typically langauge to the effect of a satisfaction guarantee with a bunch of provisions as a fast follow. The subtext is: you can return this product, but it must meet certain criteria, there will be a restocking fee, we'll charge you for the free shipping we offered, and you need to pay to send it back.

On some level I get it. I understand these small businesses aren't Target or Trader Joe's who can afford to take back anything and everything under the sun; however, some of these policies are ridiculous and makes me think twice before ordering something. I suggest everyone read the policies very closely and understand what you're in for if you need to cancel or return an item.

Thanks for this thread OP! Just ordered the cover from PRL. Hopefully it gets here before my vehicle arrives in 3-4 weeks.

Yep. I used to use a half cover on my Miata and got a lot of questions. Kept the inside super cool though when parked outside, and that's critical here.
