Made my first big purchase yesterday and I'm super excited!!

My wife has a 6 hour spa appointment with her best friend and our son is home from school sick, so I'm going to hopefully get a chance to get him outside to lend me a hand, and teach him some things (you know....all father like). I'm super stoked for tomorrow and I'm excited to dive in and get this ball rolling! :nixon:

Here's the bounty:

PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake System
PRL Motorsports Titanium Turbo Inlet Pipe
PRL Motorsports Front Pipe
Tomei Full Titanium Expreme Ti Exhaust "Type D"

My wife is getting me the Hondata FlashPro and a tune at our local shop for Christmas (Because she's a fricking goddess!!) and depending on how that goes we'll see what comes next. But if everything goes according to plan, and it never does, then I'd move forward with my next list-o-shit I don't really need. :hmm:

So far all I've gotten is little shit. Some air valve covers, license plate holder / cover, a laser detector, rain guards. I'm working with the dealership right now for my ceramic PPF and a window tint, so I'm doing SOME necessary things. It's not entirely frivolous.

And I'm sure someone will say/ask something about me not getting a downpipe so I'll get out in front of it now.
I live in a very small housing community (Only 33 townhouses) and so I WANTED to get a downpipe, but A. Until I upgrade the turbo I didn't want to buy one and find out later it was incompatible with whatever turbo I go for. And B. I get off work anywhere between 11pm-1am, and by the time I get back it's as quiet as a cemetery. I might be a dick, but I'm not an asshole!

I'm also sure I'm out of order on certain things, so any advice and input on the FL5 CTR "Order of Operations" is welcome.

I'm working on my next project list already and it's kinda fun having a checklist again. Makes working 50 hour weeks not suck so much.

SUSPENSION LIST
- Swift Spec-R Sport Springs
- EVS Offset Camber Joints
- Hardrace Rear Camber Kit
- Hardrace Rear Toe Arms
- Hardrace Reinforced Stabilizer Link
- Hardrace Front Lower Stopper Link
- Whiteline Front Sway Bar Link Kit
- Cusco Front Sway Bar
- Cusco Front Power Brace
- Cusco Rear Cross Member Power Brace
- Cusco Center Power Brace
- J's Racing Rear Tower Bar
- Blitz Strut Tower Bar
- Hasport Left/Right/Rear Engine Mounts
- Bonoss Forged Active Cooling Hubcentric Wheel Spacers 25mm

COOLING LIST
- HKS Intercooler + Piping
- CSF Ai Radiator
- APR CF Cooling Plates

MISC. LIST
- Chasing J's Shift Boot Delete
- Fx3D Rock Guards & Mesh Combo
- HRS Elite Series Tail Lights (Black)
- Acuity ESCO-Ti Shift Knob (Splatter Ti)
- Hybrid Racing Short Shifter (Black)
- Acuity Shifter Base Bushings
- PRL Stainless Steel Braided Clutch Line
- Vertex x Bride Zieg IV Seat (Black / Super Aramid Carbon Shell)
- Vertex x Bride Zieg IV Seat (Black / Funky Queen Pink / Super Aramid Carbon Shell)

So there it is...It's A LOT, I know.

I will admit, about the suspension I'm not sure if I REALLY "need" all of that. I have a feeling that some of those are the same part just with different wording, or do the same thing as something else on my life. I really, really, REAAALLLLYYYY dislike camber 🤮. I'd like my car to be stanced, but also classy - Like looking at Denzel in a tux. And I didn't feel inclined to coilovers because I don't need 9000 way adjustable feature stuff for me to screw with and mess up, so I like the idea of just throwing on lowering springs while maintaining the OEM damper system. I'd love to trim some fat off this list, so if anyone has any input, experience(s), or advice I'd love to hear it before I sell my aura for my car, which I'm 100% prepared to do!

I would have gotten the DP over the exhaust. DP, FP and stock exhaust won't be anywhere near as loud as the new exhaust. Not to mention the DP will fit any drop-in turbo and is probably the largest power gain from any bolt-on part other than the turbo.

I can confirm the Tomei is very loud. My 3 year old daughter knows the car easily 100 yards out from inside the house.

If you're just dailying the car I'd be wary of the suspension mods because some R owners are already complaining about the OEM ride quality. We don't know what your tolerance level is for NVH but for every suspension bit you replace, that's another potential to add NVH. I reckon you'd be able to do away with 2/3 of the items on your suspension list.

I think this is so blown out of proportion it is insane. I live in +R mode and only ever go to my individual mode with comfort suspension on one road. A beach highway that is bouncy in literally any vehicle you drive on it. Waste of money to get the ITS module IMHO.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I live in Upstate NY and the roads here are horrendous. I switched to the ITS and it is so much better. I was bouncing all over the place that I all over the place that I thought something was wrong with my car. I had an FK8 and it was nowhere near as bad. So, for me, it was much needed to give the ITS ADS a shot.

Some people are more sensitive than others. The ride in my SI was harsher that the FL5 in comfort. I guess I expect stiff suspension when I buy a sports car.

I ordered the ITS module before I even took delivery of the car based on the recommendation of so many here and on YouTube. Once I got the car I immediately thought to myself how overblown the complaints were. That being said, once I tried the ITS module I immediately fell in love. And it's 200$. And if you don't like it you could sell it here for 90% of what you paid within 24 hrs.

You should probably figure out what type of driving or motorsport you are going to be doing. Then build around that in the most efficient way.

Your suspension your better off with a good set of single adjustable coilovers and balljoints. That would save you a few thousand off your list. You don't need front sway bar only rear. Ridged collars will be sufficient to stiffen the already solid chassis. You don't need motor mount if you not making 500hp lol

A new hood will probably cool better than the prospective parts. Especially if you're not tracking the car.
Spend on the important things that have the biggest impact. Save the fine tuning cheapest part for when the big stuff is already done.

That exhaust might be a bit loud for you quiet residence lol
Ehhhh....that much I figured, but from what I've seen it gets much louder once the downpipe goes on, and I've wanted the Tomei for a while. There are some fantastic other options out there, but it's one of those things that is my personal preference. I wasn't going to settle on any other exhaust, so the neighbors are going to have to deal with that much.

What is your goal for the car? What kind of driving do you primarliy do with it?
Well, it's currently 100% stock, so it's just been daily driven to work and back with the spirited drives thrown in. I live in a fairly backwoodsy part of the state where I can head up into the mountains and really let loose without fear of getting pulled over. Ultimately I'd like to get it on the track, and into some shows. I've fancied car shows ever since I was a kid and I think it'd be cool to try and squeeze every ounce of power out of whatever I do to it on a track. I'm fascinated with numbers and configurations so hopefully down the road learning the deep dive information on tunes is not out of the question.

I changed to the ITS module without telling my girlfriend. Within five minutes she asked me if I'd done something to the car. It's night and day.
