I'm trying to decide between the two tunes but can't help to think there are so drawbacks to the Phearable tune vs TSP. Why would the Phearable tune make a claimed 30HP more than the TSP tune? That being the case, is the TSP tune "safer" than the Phearable tune?

I'm currently only running simple bolt-ons -
PRL HVI
PRL Intercooler

Plans to get a downpipe in the future

Any input or technical information on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE - went and got my ECU unlocked from IMW and bought the Pherable stage 2 tune. Like everyone else says, the tune is a night and day difference from stock. 3rd, 4th and even 5th gain a noticeable amount more pickup. i am still genuinely surprised how much faster the car feels in those gears. low speed around town the car feels like it’s still on the stock tune.

I don’t know much about the Phearable tune, but the TSP tune states stock airbox. If you have an intake, you’d likely need to get a custom tune. Here’s a screenshot:

Interesting! I did not catch that. The Phearable tune has a section for listed modifications for which I'd imagine they adjust the tune per those mods. Not 100% certain on that though

Thanks for your interest in our tune. I'd caution anyone against comparing dyno results achieved by different cars on different dynos, apples to oranges.

I have nothing bad at all to say about our competitor's tune, independent testing has shown they are very comparable when tested using the same car / dyno / etc.

The PRL HVI and Intercooler are both safe (and encouraged!) to use with our tune, we have tested this combination and it works very well with no further adjustments recommended or required. The same can be said about a downpipe upgrade.

I have no experience with tsp. However I talked with phearble and told him that I really only have access to 91 when I take my car to my work in a different state. When home I hus 93 and would need to be able to switch back and forth.
They said if I bought the tune for 91 they would give me 93 also.
Customer service is very important and they were top notch.
I'm still on hondata base tune right now so can't give insight other than Customer service.

This! You can’t compare dyno numbers from different dyno’s. They all read a little different so it is not an apple to apple comparison.

Also to add more info on numbers, it is always great practice to get a baseline on the dyno you will be using to actually see the delta of power with tuning. That will show the true gains the car made regardless of dyno.
