Help with scratched plastic

Need to get rid of these scratches. I called my Honda dealer parts dept and they said they could not find this clear plastic cover next to the shift lever to replace it. Has anyone tried any remedies to fix scratched plastic like this?

Upon further research, found out it’s the entire cup holder assembly.

Have your tried a product like Novus or one of the products at the auto parts store that are used to polish clear plastics like headlights, etc?

I've had good experiences with this product. If you haven't worked with plastic or acrylic scratches, it would be a good idea to first practice on a piece of scrap plastic.

Yeah, I would just take it to a professional versus risk making things worse.
