While this is awesome and looks sick, be mindful that there is really little to nothing on this car that is similar to the street going FL5. This is not like a TC or TCR Type R. this one is wildly different.

No difference to the current NSX GT race car Honda is supplying right now which is front engine. To be honest these sort of classes never had much in common to their road going counterparts.
Just like BTCC. And a TCR FK8 is nothing like a road going FK8. Race cars are race cars lol

Well hang on now, there is a couple levels of difference between Super GT and TCR. At least the TCR cars are based on the same body and frame of the factory car. They just have a cage and are probably seam welded. Still the basic car is there.

For a long time Super GT was also kinda, sorta related to the factory cars. Back in the 90s and early 2000s the rules stated you must have the factory passenger compartment, but then the front and back ends could be completely fabricated. So the suspension could be completely custom and the engine could be mounted super low and moved around and all that. That resulted in pretty awesome race cars but the core passenger compartment still had the familiar shape and tied back to the factory car, from a marketing perspective.

Ah, here we go

So starting in 2014 this spec carbon monocoque was added. This, in my opinion, severed that final link to the factory cars they used to have. Now it's just like NASCAR, where there is sort of some cosmetic stuff added to make the car look like something you know, but underneath it's completely different.

true race cars are race cars lol.

I personally like things like TC America because those are really much more road going cars or time attack when you start with OEM and build upon that.
