Infotainment Update to Include Google Assistant?

Has anyone been able to confirm if we will be able to update our infotainment systems to the latest software which includes Google Assistant and Play Store? The 25 Si seems to have got it so not sure why the Type R was not included in that. One would think that this would be an available upgrade, at least for the same model year.

I wouldn't count on it. They'd have to update the Honda LogR app to work with the new OS, from what I understand.

The Type R has a similar but separate operating system that includes LogR functionality. I doubt Honda will update the Type R's OS specifically because the CTR is a low volume seller, the OS already does what it needs to do, and money can go elsewhere for development.

Updating the CTR's infotainment to include google would probably require a RAM upgrade too, so that's another potential cost.

They CTR did not receive any updates similar to other 2025 Civics, including the infotainment, type c ports, or improved Honda sensing. It's still running the old infotainment. Likely because it is being built in the Japanese plant and has the LogR app.
