I called a local dealer where I live. Sweden will only get 8 (!) FL5 CTR and Honda will decide who will get them, so it is not even first come-first serve. I hope we will get some more allocations later on.. price was not set but indicated to 550-600KSEK. This is 40-50% more than the FK8. Holy crap that is expensive.
In Portugal the information (still not 100% official) is around 70.000€ !! The FK8 was 56.000€.

Any more information regarding other prices in Europe ? How is the price "made" by Honda or the Importer ?

It was actually around 51.750€.

The importer will pay some agreed-upon amount to Honda Europe and then set the MSRP for the country they're responsible for.
Given the small number of units available, it's entirely predictable that the importers will bump up their prices to maximize profits. There'll always be a few people willing to pay. Case in point: even at 70.000€, the FL5 sold out in an instant. I hate it, but it is what it is. Us individual consumers have no control over it.

Let's hope that Honda Japan manages to manufacture them in sufficient numbers, so that the sale values €€€ are not that speculative.

I think it's reasonable to expect less FL5s than FK8s #GlobalShortages

High demand, low supply market will continue well into the FL5s production life.

global shortage is kinda overblown. If you've been following earnings of chipmakers and retailers, demand is falling like a rock.

They didn't necessarily say chip shortage. That being said if you've been following Honda's earnings, then you'd see their sales are down 40-50% (and its definitely not due to lack of demand).

Earnings are down because of recession, slowing of work-from-home demand, and crypto crash. Vehicle demand is lowering somewhat due to recession and slowdown of GDP, but the demand is still there. Manufacturers just can't turn out enough supply.
Chip allocation shortage for vehicles is still a very real thing.

Is it purely chip shortage, or is it materials/supply chain and labor-related issues as well? There are definitely a lot of moving parts to consider. California, which is basically the gateway from the West (into the US anyway) has some unique complications when it comes to port workers, which is also a contributing factor. It's not like Honda wants their cars to sit on a ship outside of a port for weeks at a time

Raw materials and chips.

China's lockdowns have quite an impact.

Exactly right; all the above.
If Honda had it the way they wanted, they'd turn out more. They absolutely don't want their cars to sit. ^^

demand falls obviously when there isn't supply to meet it
