Hello CivicXI Enthusiasts!

We've had many of you contact us about the 2022 Civic Si with all of the recently created buzz and we're very pleased to show off our results.

Huge thanks to @D-RobIMW for arranging the test car and dyno time! We started off with a brand new Civic Si that had 1000 miles on the clock, clutch fully broken in. Our factory run produced 186.4whp and 193.6lbft. The curve was very similar to the 10th gen, but down a little in the midrange and a little extra power up top.

Here's our real world comparison of the new 11th Gen Si vs the Previous 10th Gen Si.
11th Gen Honda Civic KTuner 2022+ Civic Si Tune Results - Fantastic Gains! 11th_vs_10th

We immediately started in with a Stage 1 tune at 18PSI. We noticed right away that Honda was up to some new tricks with the Si. They actually implemented some of the same Artificial Knock Control Rise that we saw in the 10th Gen Non-Si models. We immediately had to remove that to get clean results and we've made this option available in the software as a checkbox. Here's a look at the 18PSI Stage 1 Basemap with the Artificial Knock Rise vs without for comparison.

11th Gen Honda Civic KTuner 2022+ Civic Si Tune Results - Fantastic Gains! 18psi_vs_18psi

With the Artificial Knock Rise disabled we had our final Stage 1 results. 195whp 227lbft. Gains of 7whp peak to peak with 30whp midrange, and midrange torque of up to 32lbft. A great starting point for those wanting a little more than factory without feeling like the vehicle is being restricted by limitations.

We moved on to Stage 2 development, which is our Starter 21PSI tune. This really changed the entire midrange and brought the top end to life quite a bit. Our results were 216whp and 242lbft. Gains of 30whp peak to peak with up to 47whp at 5000RPM, 49lbft peak to peak with up to 52lbft at 4100RPM.

Having full support for flex fuel we dove right into ethanol testing on E30 for our included Flex Fuel Tune. If you have a Flex Fuel Kit installed you'll just need to enable the feature to activate this tune. It's already built in. With E30 our results were 234whp and 256lbft. Gains of 48whp peak to peak with up to 63whp at 5000RPM, 63lbft peak to peak with up to 69lbft at 4600RPM.

With the Stage 2 Starter 21PSI tune the car is just incredible over factory. Adding ethanol in it's a beast and we are still staying conservative for the longevity of the clutch. Both TSP and Phearable have already begun their tune development. Other tuners can also step in for custom tuning to get you the maximum potential of your specific setup. We're excited to see what results you'll all be sharing with the 11th Gen community!

Speaking of the factory clutch... it is the weak point once again. In developing our Starter 23PSI map we did start to see slippage, so we only recommend 22PSI and 23PSI Starter maps if you have an aftermarket clutch. We will post the results for the Starter 23PSI at a later date.

Tuning for the 2022 Si is available today and includes the same custom features from the 10th Gen Si platform.

Quick Adjustments For Throttle And Turbo Responsiveness
Boost By Gear With Quick Pulldowns To Choose Each Boost Level
Flex Fuel Tuning For Use With A Flex Fuel Kit
Anti-Lag For Launch Limiter
Adjustable On The Fly Launch Limiter
Adjustable On The Fly Map Switching With Three Maps With Turbo Responsiveness and Boost Targets For Normal / Sport Modes (6 Total Boost Target Levels)
Quick Pulldowns To Choose Boost Target Levels For All Six Levels
Advanced VSA Traction Control

We are currently working on a rev hang disable that is well integrated with the new rev matching system.

We know our customers have enjoyed these features immensely and we're glad to bring them to this brand new generation. For those who haven't seen these features in action yet we put together a quick video outlining the gains and on the fly switching features at the bottom of this post.

Thanks for reading. We hope you're ready for tuning! Follow us on Instagram @k_tuner and hash tag #ktuner in your posts. We regularly share your photos to our story.

You're comparing the included KTuner calibration results to third party calibration results. :) The 11thGen "Flex" calibration makes similar power to what the 10thGen "Flex" calibration did on the 10thGen. These files are meant to be safe for mass consumption over a wide range of operating conditions, not meant to be be-all, end-all powerhouse files. They are starting points.

I made more power than what's shown on those plots with further tuning, but have to continue testing before I release the TSP1 for the 11thGen Si.

That makes sense! Thanks Drob!

Yeah. You have to understand something. JR's base tunes are available for free for EVERYONE who buys a KTuner unit. He has to make those tunes super conservative, hence the "base" tune. It's the third party guys like Derek and Vega that push the envelope a bit more with their OTS tunes. And for those looking for even more, custom tuning is always available.

I'm just really interested in what the numbers will be for TSP Stage 1 when it's released.

Hello. Can anyone here explain more about what Artificial Knock Rise is, and what it’s for? New here and trying to fully understand.

Basically Honda uses a strategy that artificially increases knock control at high rpm. What this does is protect the engine by retarding timing. The problem is, it also reduces power. If you use high quality, high octane gas there's no need for this babysitting from Honda.

So is this what allows the car to be “premium gas recommended” rather than “required”?
