So for everyone who was disappointed with the 11th gens performance I would highly suggest a KTuner to bring up the fun factor. This is a OTS tune with a PRL Stage 1 intake. $750 of go fast parts.

Dragy results from 2022 Civic Sport Touring CVT

If it could be done on 87 Octane, I would do it. :)

Hold it to

Try 1800 rpm with 13psi in first gr with boost by gear
Don't do it repeatedly though it and don't do it until your trans temps are at normal operating temperature, like 160-175. It's not the overall torque that breaks cvt's it's the delivery of tq and sudden ramp in temperatures. And with brake boosting in cvt don't immediately slam it to the floor. Floor it fast but not immediately if you get what I mean, it simulates the shift points significantly faster. But boost by gear will help significantly with wheel spin ive only fooled with 1st gear and usually keep it between 10-15psi.

I figured out on my own and not on purpose to let the CVT warm up. It didn’t like being floored below 130 degrees.

I will try what you recommended. I didn’t brake boost since I read it can cause damage to the transmission.

I came from a FBO on Flex Accord 2.0T 10AT and it was fun to brake boost.

Cvt has its advantages and downfalls but overall fun imo. I have 109k miles and it's been tuned since 83k, I'm not saying they won't break but if you deliberately thrash it, then it will break. I haven't had any problems with mine. I've maybe brake boosted like 2-3 times it's fun but has bad consequences so I wouldn't recommend it lol.
