PRL HVI - high temp

Just installed a PRL HVI and the car seems a little sluggish when laying on the throttle. All the error codes cleared and the install went fine. But I did notice that after some hard pulls around the neighborhood, the temps settled to 140 degrees at a standstill. Am I over thinking this, or is this normal?

Yes, things get hot when the car is not in motion. You should be looking at IAT relative to ambient temp while the car is moving, because that's when the intake has fresh airflow and is more relevant to actual performance.

When in motion during normal driving, my IATs are around 20 degrees F higher than ambient.

This makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification. Current temps are 20-30 degrees above ambient when moving so I think we’re all good. Thanks

That's strange. I see 10+ or less while moving, but the Si version also has a cold air option that I route through the foglight opening.
