I have a Type R purchase being held up due to the new steering recall. Has anyone gotten an ETA on the parts from their dealer?

Nope, it's a safety recall so they have to fix it before it can be sold.

Sucks about the wait time. On the bright side, at least they caught the issue before selling it. Safety first, right? Still annoying tho.

I called my dealership straight away they are waiting on the parts. I was told that I would be notified when the parts were in, but no time frame was given.

Hey guys, slightly off topic but has anyone had experience with other recalls on their type r? Wondering if this is common or just a one-off thing?

was able to make an appointment for the recall so thought they had the parts available only to show up this morning and be told they probably wont actually get the parts till december. 🤷‍♂️

I saw something that I CANNOT CONFIRM at this point that indicated that Honda/Acura will be providing dealers with special tooling to allow them to complete this repair without dropping the subframe, and that said tool is set to go out in November. If this proves to be true, it is likely a good thing. (less to go wrong)
