Hello, all.

I am looking to lower my FL5 on some swift springs, but am a bit hesitant. I commute about 55 miles a day in Atlanta, I don't mind a more stiff ride, but don't want it to be too crazy...

How is your experience with swift springs as a daily? Too rough, too low? Appreciate any and all feedback / opinions!

Best,
Chase

I'm also in the Atlanta area and went with H&R instead since the drop isn't as aggressive. I haven't gotten them installed yet because I can't find a shop that will do it for a semi reasonable price and I'm not trying to pull my CV axle out and get it leaky. I haven't had any issues driving it in the area yet.

I've been running mine for over a year. They are too stiff for the street and for daily use IMO, they have ruined the ride. No complaints on the track at Chuckwalla (very smooth track). I'm now looking to replace with coilovers.

Wow really. I would lean for softer coils then. I'm running RSR besti coils on mine and I think its pretty good for daily driving!

Yes really. Unfortunate because I love the stance but it's at the expense of ride quality.

I commute from Kennesaw to Sandy Springs for work and dont really have many complaints of the ride quality. Running swift springs, ITS ADS module, 275/35/18. I rarely drive ITP but the few times I have it hasnt been bad.

Having been a passenger in one with Swift, I can say the ride is atrocious even with the Type S module. Could be install related, does Swift recommend cutting bump stops?

Loosen the axle nuts down to the last few turns of thread and swap the springs that way. I used this method on jack stands in my driveway and I had no issues. I also had a spare axle seal on hand just in case.

I will admit I was nervous going into it, my last FWD car was an 8th gen Si 15 years ago and I tore a seal doing a coilover install on it.

I appreciate everyone’s responses! I ended up going with Swift.

Since installed on Friday, I have done some spirited driving as well as a few office commutes. The ride is a bit stiffer, but really not a big deal. Most of the time i’m driving, I don’t notice much of a difference. Thanks again for your input, all!

I'm running swift springs and I feel like its no different than the stock springs. Although I am used to stiffer coilovers from my previous car. The CTR is pretty rough already but I feel like the springs didn't add that much. When I downsized from the stock 19's to 18's and a 35 sidewall I felt it rode much better too.

This is my FL5 on H&R's. Mild drop that requires no bump stop trimming. Rides mildly stiffer in comfort and with the extra sidewall on the Pilot 4 A/S is more compliant around town. Car is not as sharp as stock but I don't track the car. I knew going in there would be some trade-off but I did not want to slam the car and grit my teeth every time I went over uneven pavement. Trust me, if you slap Swift springs on this car it will be stiff. With my slight changes I wanted to maintain as close to stock driving characteristics while improving its look. Moreover, I wanted to achieve a stock + look as I actually love the stock wheels and the white/black contrast. I know I might be in the minority but I think 19's look better than 18's. Unless you really close the wheel gap (i.e. losing stock driving dynamics) 18's look small. I know in the future I will be pursuing a forged 19 with a 40 offset. For now saving $4k on wheels, maintaining a very close to stock dynamic and improving the car's aesthetic will keep me happy. Good luck with your decision.
