Additional related mods: None Yet

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: spirited around town, highway cruiser

Tuning experience notes: Great performance improvement, worse gas mileage than expected. ~30 lifetime MPG.

Might have to look into a Ktuner. Consensus seems to be Ktuner > Hondata. I’ve had this Flashpro for 6 years, will be sad to see it go.

Guess it’s my turn…👍🏻

Vehicle: 2022 Honda Civic Sport Hatch (FL2) CVT K20C2.

Total tuned time: about 6 hours lol.

Tuned miles driven: 20-ish. Not enough yet, but still had fun.

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner v1.2

Tunes used: K20C2 basemap

Fuel used: 93 octane

Additional related mods: K&N drop-in. and muffler delete.

Problems/issues: None so far

Driving style: Occasional highway rips, nothing crazy. Most of my commute is local so my mpg suffers anyway lol. I do wait for on/off ramps to be clear when I can. I haven’t “street raced” in prob 15 years…I spend my time more wisely at the dragon, cherahola skyway, blue ridge, and track events in the northeast when able. I am taking things much easier with this car tho.

Tuning experience notes: woke up the 2.0L n/a the way it should have come from factory. Agreed, but I’m saying the same thing everyone else says. They’re not wrong here. In “sport“ with paddle shifters feels REALLY good! This is only a basemap so expectations must be tempered from jump. I went right to Throttle Response 2. (Hoping Ktuner adds a 3rd step someday!) Immediately after flashing, on first start, I can absolutely 100% hear a slightly noticeable “whoosh” sound coming from my intake when I blip the throttle. I approve of this since the PRL HVI is gonna sound even more glorious! The throttle response is very noticeable. Your not getting thrown back in your seat, but you can def feel a difference. Low end of the spectrum, the motor still is very lacking, but we know this. I did for the first time, get the tires to crack loose a bit on dry pavement.

Having said that….
This tune and purchase, can all be justified by what you gain above 5000rpm. That’s where this tune makes you be like “Ok Ktuner…I see you!”
Very noticeable/audible Vtec engagement at 5300. (Plz car Gods allow them to give us vtakk @4500)
And from there to 6700-6800, it just sings the songs of my people. I have the muffler delete, but I’m looking to quiet that down some in the future with a full system.

TLDR:
1. Yes, buy it. Best performance per dollar spent (regardless of 1.5 or 2.0).
2. I cannot wait for supporting mods for even more power in the future.😎

Tuning experience notes: This really opened the car up. Had it for a week before I installed the downpipe and the two make it feel really good. I don't drag race and like the extra giddy up on the highway.

Waiting on exhaust and the PRL high flow air box kit. Would be nice to get a front pipe too. This car would have nice power with all that. Overall very happy with the upgrade. Lives up to the trim now.

Tuned miles driven: 2300~ (53xx total)

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: Dual 21 starter and Phearable 1.5

Fuel used: 91 octane on ktuner, 91+ 1.5 gallons of e on the phearable.

Additional related mods: PRL Stage 1 intake

Problems/issues: None at all.

Driving style: highway cruiser cc at 80, around town aggressive acceleration to get up to speed, aggressive on ramps and lots of canyon runs.

Tuning experience notes: Loved the starter maps but Phearable is definitely my favorite between the two. Still manage to get 45+ on the highway and 35 average between town and hwy. Tunes haven't given me a problem at all and its plenty quick for what I use it for. I already know I'm going to have to buy a damn intercooler now lol.

Tuning experience notes: Just like day 1 of tuning, no issues, still great MPG's, just bought a Road Glide so I'm unsure if I'm going to do more to this car.

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1; KTuner starter 21 (everything set to most aggressive)

Additional related mods: none

Problems/issues: Zero issues

Driving style: mostly country roads; some highway... usually partial throttle; typically never go past 5,000rpms

Tuning experience notes: I was leery at first, but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. The car is so much more fun now! Gas mileage suffered some, but 100% worth it. Started with TSP Stage 1, but the low end/mid range power is SO much better with KTuner for my driving style.

Thanks for adding you car. Yeah, it's interesting how different the KTuner tunes feel versus the OTS tunes.

JR's (KTuner) tunes are really snappy down low and have a great midrange feel but feel like there's a dropoff up top. D-Rob's (TSP/IMW) and John's (Phearable) tunes have a different feel. They tend to be softer down low and build power in a more smooth, linear way, with a better top end.

Fuel used: 91

Additional related mods: PRL air filter

Problems/issues: no issues

Driving style: daily highway cruise with some passing of riffraff as needed, romping on it some for fun

Tuning experience notes: definitely a good place to start upgrading, snappier response, the full throttle no-lift-shift is a heck of a thing in 1-2 and 3-4 shifts, freeway acceleration noticeably better

I had a local shop that is a Hondata dealer do the flash as Hondata has been out of stock on the CARB flashpro and I am not looking to take on tuning as a side hobby. Talking to them after the fact that may have been a mistake with respect to smog. They said I would need to buy the hardware for it to actually be legal.

If @Hondata needs some CARB FlashPro units, I've got a stack of confiscated bricks here collecting dust.

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Mostly light driving, short trips around town. Some spiritied driving, but no WOT abuse.

Tuning experience notes: The Phearable tune really does a lot to save the CVT on the low end which I appreciate. Throwing it into the higher powerband of Sport Mode really puts the tune "on tap." Map 2 + Sport Mode is more power than I need honestly. Probably won't ever touch Map 3 except to test it out sometime.

The install process was a bit intimidating, but went on without a hitch really. It's just a tad fiddly putting the car in Accessory Mode and connecting to the KTuner and laptop for the first time if you've never done it before. No big deal, but just be prepared.

The on the fly map switching is a really cool feature and I definitely notice a difference between Maps 1 and 2, especially in Sport mode. Map 2 will throw you back in your seat at 50% throttle at the right speed.

Overall I'm very impressed with KTuner and the Phearable tune. Map 1 is definitely a nice Stock+ map. I appreciate the conservative low end protecting my CVT because I'm not trying to drag race anyone. But it is nice knowing and having the confidence that the power is there when needed.
