Very low successful flash rate with ktuner 1.2

Got a ktuner 1.2 for my 2022 Civic Si. Tried flashing a safe tune as I did what this one dude did on YouTube. 21 PSI with 2 step and anti lag. First try went unsuccessful. Second try went good. But car was misfiring I believe? Wasn’t accelerating right. Kept bogging and it just wasn’t smooth. I did everything the guy did. Tried relflashing. But now this time it’s about 2/10 times I’ll get a successful flash. It’s always going into recovery mode and it’s really starting to get on my nerves cause my laptop dies quick so I have to keep charging it. I’ve posted on Reddit for help, tried calling ktuner a few times (no answer), emailed them twice and no response. So frustrating to deal with this and not even get any support. Anyone have somewhat a solution? Thanks.

I would try flashing back to stock and go from there. Are you trying to flash the Starter 21 tune that comes with the Ktuner?

I've accidentally pulled the interface from the OBII connector before and the car wouldn't start. Talk about a panicky situation!

I'd stay away from anti lag and 2 step if you want your engine to last.

Haha noted. Just was experimenting. Tune decided to flash successfully. Car feels much faster

it was the starter 2 21 psi tune. I was new to all this and I looked up a video on how to tune. The guy had basically shown what he did for his first tune. He had put anti lag and 2step. Then he put early spool, advanced vsa, and removed artificial knock. He also controlled how much boost went in to each gear. So I did all that and the second flash that I did was good, my car wasn’t responding right to it. So late at night, I just flashed starter 2 without messing around with anything besides 2 step, and my car runs fine.

There is a clear warning in the software outlining the need for a battery charger on the vehicle and having the laptop in high performance mode. Your laptop dying quickly is not something that has anything to do with KTuner and you may want to look into a new battery or laptop to remedy that situation as well.
