I recently ordered OEM touch up paint for my car. The paint code on my window jam is N912P. The paint stick I received was labeled Urban Gray and the code on the bottle was N912PAH-A1. I figured this was fine. Much to my surprise, after application, the dried paint was noticably darker than the factory paint (my car is only 6 months old so it hasn't had a chance to fade significantly.) This remained true even with a layer of clear coat.

The only conclusion I can draw is that Urban Gray is different from Urban Gray Pearl. If you get a touch up stick with the second code above don't use it!

I found some aftermarket touch up paint with the correct code and it is a much closer match.

You mean door jam? Right? The sticker in the door jam?

It's very difficult to get pearl effect without a separate top coat.

I recommend consulting an automotive paint store for advice. These stores custom mix spray cans or touch-up paints for good results per my experience.
