Wow the oil cooler ducting looks very similar to whats on the DE5 Integra Typs S HRC Prototype. It looks like they use the brake ducting thats already on the car.

Quick Video of the Garage Vary FL5, showcasing new headlights, carbon hood vent, very aggressive carbon front lip, aggressive side skirts, rear spats and rear wing

More pics of the Garage Vary FL5 Front lip. Definitely has the most coverage of all the lips I’ve seen.
For anyone wondering those headlights are from Alpharex. They’ll be available in Japan this spring and in the US hopefully later this
through their US distributor.

I think it’s funny how the Type R is getting so much aftermarket support these past two years compared to the Type S, even saw a few FK8’s as well. I could be wrong but I haven’t seen not one Type S DE5 in any social media posts/stories regarding TAS 25’ lol.

The market for the DE5 is exponentially smaller than the FL5. The DE5 is North American market only, they’d either have to buy one and ship it to Japan, send out a team out to collect data or partner with an American company. The return on investment wouldn’t be worth the effort. A couple companies are working on collabs but who knows when those will go live. Also the only components that can’t be swapped over to the DE5 are body parts and certain interior components that are dashboard specific. Performance parts bolt on no problem, so that HKS intake will fit no problem.

Yeah! I appreciate the support that we’ve been getting regardless. Our FL5’s being made in Japan makes it even more special over the Integra Type S in my opinion.

I remember when it first came out.. people were saying the FL5 looks bland or not aggressive enough from factory. Now we have so many variations of lips, wings, full aero kits, it gives the customer options to be creative and fully customize the aesthetics and separate themselves from other Type R’s. Unlike the FK8, they mostly all look the same to me and usually have the same body kits.

Recently I remember someone saying that now “we’re trying too hard to be aggressive like FK8’s” and it gave me a good laugh! But at least all of the FL5’s I’ve seen is pretty unique and has their own style.

The DE5 is a North American car only. You're not gonna see any DE5s on social media at Tokyo Auto Salon lol.

I understand that, but that fact that these engine performance parts are literally interchangeable in between the K20C1 and K20C8 chassis. You’d think Acura work something out or at least collaborate with a company or two.

Acura tends to not to partner with aftermarket companies unless it for their factory-built race cars or like cars for SEMA. The HRC DE5 is the first Acura of its kind, where Acura actively worked with multiple aftermarket parts developers/manufacturers to improve performance and will eventually offer the parts to the public(some you can buy right now like the wheels, seats and intercooler).

I believe they've only done it now because they've seen the massive aftermarket response the FK8/FL5 have received. Personally I think they should've launched the HRC DE5 along side the regular ITS and set it up so the parts could be bought through their dealer network at launch or through Acura-certified partners. Acura has offered aesthetic mods under the "A-Spec" brand before and then Aspec became its own trim level. Now they just offer them as dealer accessories, apart from the carbon spoiler for the DE5.

There's no need to do that when a majority of the FL5 aftermarket parts fit the DE5.
