Anyone know where I can buy a replacement front grill for the FL5 Type R? Mine has a bit of damage and I'd like to replace it. I believe the part price is about $250, but my local dealer is marking it up to over $500, which seems like robbery.

There are plenty of Honda dealers selling discounted OEM parts online (Google it).
Hondapartsnow.com is one (of many) I've used before. Prices are about 2/3's list, plus shipping.

BTW, dealers selling discounted parts generally treat internet sales as a side business. Hence the web name won't match the dealer name, but it often shows on the return address.

I believe that the part number for the grill is 71200-T60-J01

prices are around $150-$160 plus shipping (some are local pickup only)

wow, attempted to place an order, shipping to California is nearly $400

"Dimensional weight," as they call it, is a bitch. Large/wide things are more expensive to ship because they have awkward shapes and take up more space in the truck than smaller boxes, thus displacing items that UPS/FedEx could have made more money on.

Looks like Honda Parts Now is located in CA. That may not mean this is where parts will ship from, but hopefully it’ll help the shipping cost situation. Sometimes giving these places a call can be more helpful than going thru their automated system online.

Any other suggestions on this? I also checked Hondapartsnow. Shipping to Florida is about the same.

I should clarify that, for my car, the part I need is the lower grill in the front.

I tried that part number in another parts site and it said that it does not fit the vehicle........25 FL5..
indeed, searching for that part number on google shows mostly 2023-2024 in the search results

HondaPartsNow does not even have a choice for a 2024 Type R

but at least one Honda dealer says that it should fit the 2025

https://parts.normreeveshondavista....132534475__12381053/14t40n01_t404b4500b/.html

note that the image in the product page is a generic grill, yet the part explosion (above URL) shows the correct grill #20

Yeah. This search is kind of proving difficult without the correct pictures and specific applications. I have also found that it is actually may be Part Number: 71200-T60-J51 and not Part Number: 71200-T60-J01. Awaiting a couple of responses from companies.

I say lean into it. Drill some holes along the edge of the crack and zip-tie it all together. Use something contrasting and make it look like a battle scar. Joking, but also not joking.

I believe that the part you found the J51 is JDM and might not fit our USA Honda (different crash bar if I recall correctly)
