Kinda reiterating, but in the end to Joe shmoe, a type R is just a civic and any old Integra looks like a nicer car. I can say with certainty that if you wanted a car that looks like a sports car to random on the street, you woulda gotten something besides an ITS or CTR (though the CTR looks...
The ITS is still a special car I think. Is it the statement that a type R is? No. Its intended to blend into the Acura lineup and offer a more subtle luxury type experience, but that doesn't mean you're not buying something unique. I think the fact that the ITS is an Acura is its weakest point...
Yeah I think it's really what you're looking for in a car that determines the choice. I like the engagement of a manual and the polish in driving experience that comes from a Honda. The EN is more of a fun vehicle with how the suspension feels (which I what I mean by the type r being a track...
I've actually been helping my friend find a DCT Elantra N (he refuses to learn stick because he's a scared cat). He wanted a fun sporty car to drive that wouldnt make him car poor and he hasn't saved enough to just outright buy it like I did the FL5. The EN, alongside the GR Corolla were my...
Exactly my thoughts, most people either don't get what a type R is or just think of it as a civic with some extra visual differences. The Type S blends in even more imo
I've definetly mistaken some TLXs for the type S from a distance, but I think you could say the same about 11th civics looking like the previous gen accord from the front
Type R seats were definetly made with smaller guys in mind. To comfortably reach the clutch I have to sit pretty close. But my femurs are super long so I end up having to sit in a way that makes me have not so great clearance on the bottom of the steering wheel.
If Honda service pass would just let me get the oil and filters for free I'd do it myself. The dealer left my skid plate with one bolt missing and the other 3 loose. Worse still, they overfilled the level and claimed "it's impossible for us to overfill since we have it metered!", making the...
I'm just gonna stop engaging, I never said a heavier spring was better. I said I like it how it is, not gonna argue a moot point I don't care for. Already said all I wanted to in my first post, should answer your question 👍
You're clearly passionate about clutches, so don't let me stop you
For you, the removal of the spring makes the clutch feel better, for many here, they really like how the clutch feels and don't want to change it. Simple as that. You posted on a public forum and got opinions, doesn't matter if you attempted to scientifically test. I appreciate the post though...
I think my only problem with a hybrid type R would be the increased weight and handling differences. The Prelude is a coupe and it's gonna be heavier than the normal civic by a few hundred pounds
