  1. First oil change using a Fluid Extractor

I have a Schwaben 6.5l fluid extractor I've used over the years for my older BMW's and recent VW GTI's. Thought I'd try it out on the FL5's first oil change. (I know I still have to jack up the car to get to the oil filter but thought draining out the majority of oil thru the dipstick tube...

  6. Plug and Play Homelink Mirror for FL5 -- 1 Hr Install

Mirror install: I found out you have to locate the four prongs in the open slots (mirror ends facing 12 & 6 o'clock) then turn mirror assembly clockwise ~ 1/4" so the prongs slide over the protruding lip. (mirror ends now facing to 9 and 3 o'clock = normal position) A pillar: I couldn't get...
  7. Post your FL5 Civic Type R delivery pics! 🙌 📸

Picked up my BB today after waiting for two weeks. (In-Transit). MSRP + $30K on my 2024 GTI 380SE/Autobahn. Sport mode in Type R is much less bouncy than in the GTI. FWIW, the VW Cargo mat system fits perfectly in the back of the Civic R. (blasphemy!)
