While you have it out, why not get oversized pistons, have the head ported and put a mild performance camshaft in. Send the block to a local machine shop to have the pistons fitted while the head is sent out getting a mild port. The idea is to shift power into the higher rpm range where the...
Have you checked the price of buying them new online? OEM springs are surprising cheap from Honda parts stores.
I bought Si front springs for the minor 10mm drop and cost me $80 after shipping and tax.
It probably won't affect performance. That is a big dent though, I wouldn't accept it, especially with how much money you paid. Looks like it got damaged in shipping. If the manufacturer won't replace it, you can file a claim with the shipper.
1) Acura Integra, 2023 to 2026 with 1.5t. is same interior dimensions as the civic.
2) Civic 2022-2024 with 1.5t engine
I love my civic 1.5t, but I would get the integra if I had a redo. Compared to a Civic 1.5t CVT, the integra gets adjustable lumbar support, memory seats, quieter, larger sway...
The Audi is less roomy!?! If I was single and no family then maybe, but otherwise the A5 would be a hard pass.
The civic isn't perfect, it's noisy, feels cheap in a few spots and ride comfort isn't great. I look past those since it puts a smile on my face when I see some nice turns come up...
The inlet pipe and charge pipes give only several HP, but the extra noise from the bpv with those mods is wonderful. Now that you have an ethanol analyzer, your biggest gain will be an ethanol tune.
+1 install the head studs before the ethanol tune.
I am Very jealous, because there are almost...
There's two ways to diy check if the hub bearings are going bad.
1) while cruising at those speeds, do a very slight left or right motion. Usually if the bearings are bad you'll notice the noise changes as more or less weight is on each side. Now you're down to a 50% chance of knowing which...
Tunes on turbo cars yield a lot of power because the boost can be increased. Naturally aspirated get only a small bump.
Please research buyouts. Dealers will act like they are giving you a deal but you'll end up paying the normal pre-owned price. The only benefit of a buyout is avoiding fees...
Eibachs website even says "tested with factory dampers". They should last many years and many miles, almost as long as factory were supposed to last. There isn't much else that would wear out. I understand you're concerned for future maintenance but we are talking 10+ years away, more likely...
A rear sway is the best mod to do. It's immediately noticeable improvement with almost no disadvantage. The collars are a subtle but weird improvement. Gets rid of that cheap rattly feel to a more refined feel, like a European car.
Yes, civic sport touring comes in manual and will have the regular civic seats in leather which are similar to the Integra seats except the Integra has adjustable lumbar support and programmable memory seats. I was able to swap the bottom seat cushion from an Accord into my sport touring for...
I haven't done eibach prokits on the current gen si, but I'll let you know my prior experience on various other cars. They are only slightly stiffer and lower than OEM. They are a good compromise if you want more performance without sacrificing to much comfort and a lot of times the alignment...
I did it. This site won't let me post a link to my writeup. It definitely helped with heat soak so you get consistent power.
It's not a bolt on fit, it requires some customization. Have to...
Cut and bend the upper intercooler mount brackets.
Grind two small notches in the typer intercooler...
I haven't noticed on my car. I'm having a hard time seeing what you are talking about in the picture. Is it the upper left is darker than the right side? It just looks like the way the sun is hitting the dashboard. Automotive glass is called green glass. It has a greenish tinge to it and also...
Yes, my sway bar was hitting the CV axle when trying to rotate it higher. That is why I had to lift the knuckle up so the CV axles moved up with it. Then I could swing the sway bar up higher for a little more clearance.
Careful you don't put yourself in a situation that you can't get the bolt...
