Ghey? Lol! Also, no one is debating here. They both have their pros and cons.
My buddy went from a AP2 to an NSX NA2. Indeed the NSX is next level. Whatās crazy is how VERY VERY similar they both are to drive, including how they feel and handle. They are definitely big bro and little bro and...
Dudeā¦you do NEED one. One of my best friends had one (before his NSX). His words : āMy only regret is selling it.ā I really think itās one of those cars that every enthusiast should own at some point in their car journey while clean examples are still attainable and not ragged out.
Thank you! I definitely wouldāve considered an AP2 if I found one in as good of condition as this car (and the price was right). But this one was in front of me and itās the OG (and single owner and original). Neither AP1s nor AP2s show up in my area for sale often and when they do they sell...
This is AWESOME info! Thank you so much!
Iāll post some pics and deets in a bit fellas. I didnāt want to take too much attention away from what this forum is for, but I also knew yāall werenāt gonna just let this slide unnoticed.š Hereās a little preview from the day I bought it. @Clark_Kent...
The shifter is similar, for sure. The S2kās throws are significantly shorter and feel more mechanical (which makes sense, of course). I liked the shifter in the FL5. It was always smooth and effortless for me, but I can also understand why folks switch to Acuity to really dial-in the feel.
Well, I did this a few days ago, but a super clean S2000 AP1 showed up nearby and I traded my FL5 for it + some cash back in my pocket. It was a very hard decision that I had been noodling for months. When this one showed up I just couldnāt let the opportunity slip away. The car was meticulously...
Right! I would rather have a conservative low mark (OEM) versus a seemingly random low mark. Is it dangerously low at that point? No one knows. Even Wunderladenās explanation was VERY wishy washy. As such I donāt trust it, despite the fact I check my oil regularly and would never let it get that...
Perhaps weāre more on the same page than I understood. Where we seem to diverge is on the topic of the OE stick and its markings. Theyāre there for a reason. We know that. However, no one here is an engineer for Honda, so speculating on their accuracy and/or possible lack of keeping a tight ship...
Had Wunderladen simply provided explanation AND included the OEM marks in the design (for visual reference to Hondaās standard), Iād LOVE the product! Iād likely have one now! Without the standard markings, Wunderladenās high and low marks are simply not as helpful as they should be.
Defending...
Some of us here donāt like making changes like this to our cars based on āprobablyā and āmaybe.ā Some of us are engineers and/or work closely with the manufacturing world and understand what goes into creating standards. Itās A LOT of fucking work! If you believe Honda is just basically winging...
@ABPDE5 I get what youāre saying, but keep in mind that Honda developed the engines and developed the standards for their engines. Even if the dipstick is āgenericā it is still designed to fit their standardā¦not the other way around. Deviating from that standard, which Iām sure Honda spent MUCH...
@optronix Well stated. you know the game better than I ever will. Indeed the luxury goods market, as a whole, is built on scarcity and exclusivity. It has always been this way. I get it.
Iām far from rich, but am definitely doing fine. I have it in my mind that the only car that would be the...
No, and Iād never be a country club member because I donāt care. Lol! That really wasnāt my point. My only point is that shopping for a GTS for a reasonable price and right spec sucks. Those shopping GT level donāt deal with this pain.
