One last thing even though i showed the spare would fit on the front I would never drive the car with it there. With our limited slip differential you could really mess up the differential with that rubber band up front. I'll always put it on the back and move a good tire to the front. Unless...
If over torqued it can warp rotors. I'm keeping mine at 94. I had a Ridgeline, have a Pilot, and had the FK8 with the same size studs they were 94lbs. Like I said I'm going by size of the studs. The smaller studs civic and CRV are 80lbs.
Torque specs are normally set by the size of the stud. I torqued mine to 94lbs. I'm pretty sure Honda only has two sizes and these are the large studs.
My brother worked for honda for years. I think that torque spec is wrong. I tried my spare and we have the same size studs as the FK8. I'll post when I find out. I looked in the manual also. He is going to check with the dealership.
From what I have seen the FL5 kit will lose more space. I have installed the tire in under the floor cover as a reference. The tire well is very shallow compared to the FK8.
No problem. My main concern is how much room is left after a tire kit installed. I carry a ice chest for fishing all the time. it was really close with my FK8.
I see we are getting rid of all the parts we didn't' want with the car. I plan on selling the Aclantara wheel and the high type r mats when my new weathertech type r labled mats get here today. I list when I get the Wheel swapped out.
I think it all depends on how clean you keep your hands. I mean it feels really nice, but I fish at least once a week and was a diesel mechanic for over 20 years so probably not for me. The cleaning instructions say lightly clean with damp cloth and then brush it. My personal opinion you are...
Here is a few pics. Both wheels are the same with the exception of the leather, truthfully I only got the steering wheel and shift knob as part of a package. I paid MSRP for the car but had to buy the carbon wing, forged wheels, etc. i also included a pic of shifter cover for summer hand relief.
I love the shifter because, in the summer with the metal I could read the shift pattern on my palm. I currently have the Alcantra steering wheel on the car, it is brushed leather and feels good. But will have to cover it if I keep it on. Between fishing and working on cars it won't be good. The...
