All I can say is use a flat head screwdriver and take your time and be patient. They gave me the most difficulty too to the point I was swearing. They’re even harder to get back into the new shifter housing.
Got her in and wow what a beauty! Awesome customer service too. Only snag I ran into was the shifter cables but I always have trouble with those blasted things. I kept my settings fairly default and knob fairly low. Car feels so direct now. 1st and 2 will definitely take a little getting used...
Pardon my ignorance lol but how would your fp hook up to thermals exhaust. This is their FP and it doesn’t have a flange at the end. Stock is top thermal is bottom.
Will the PRL FP hookup to the thermal exhaust without any issues? The thermal comes with a FP but I may replace it with PRL if t works with no issues. Also probably a dumb question. I don’t have to worry about any CEL with just the front pipe correct?
The eyelids don’t fit as flush against the grill as stock did. They will even pull off slightly where they meet the grille . I tried using stock and the eyelids that came with the grille. I found the stock worked slightly better but not good enough. Grille itself is beautiful but these oddities...
Not too happy about the gap in the grill and it’s only getting worse it seems. Not sure how to fix it. The eyelids weren’t a very secure fit against the grill either. It pretty much only fits one way and I looked over everything 10x to make sure everything was secure.
1 more quick question. I've heard of some people breaking the studs off the turbo (I think thats what I read) while others havent, when installing the downpipe. Is that something I need to worry about? I'm going to have a shop install it and am concerned what to do if that happens.
I've read through some of the pages on this thread but can't read through 41 lol. Just a few questions and a few bullet points:
I have Ktuner V2
I have thermal exhaust that comes with their own frontpipe
I want the CATTED PRL downpipe
Will I throw CEL? It looks like I "may" so if I DO, where...
I pulled all mine out from top. Just have a little patience with it. Especially pulling out the top of air intake box from resonator. It’ll feel like you’re gonna break it but it’s attached really well with like a rubber grommet. After all bolts are out that you’ve removed you can pull the top...
Ya, remove the metal skid plate underneath the car to get access to the bolts that hold the resonator in. Think there’s 2. Lot easier removing that plate. Don’t need to remove bumper either.
Just finished mine up today, sounds great and you can tell this thing is great quality and wonderful fitment. It’s in there very well and locked down. Thanks for a great product.
