I was laughing at the person saying that was potentially an Si. It’s clearly a type r and Si would never come like that, it’s always been a dressed up ex trim not a full fledged wide body unit.

With you 100% I would never give up the lsd again and go for a sport touring hatch. They need to bring an Si hatch.

Honda Canada just confirmed on Twitter Si will be sedan only. Sometimes I hate being right. Maybe if the demand is enough they will reconsider when civic gets a mid generation refresh. One can still hope.

I’m assuming your right but it would be interesting if Honda did bring vtec back to the l15. Would add another way for tuners to squeeze more gains out of it.

Is this a confirmation of the 11gen 1.5t engine having vtec and not just vct? From my understanding the 10gen l15 engine just has vct and no vtec. This would be a nice upgrade over the 10gen if it had vtec on the exhaust cam similar to the type r.

This is said every new generation. In my opinion the sport will stay the same or a 5hp increase just so they can say it has more power. As for the Si I’m expecting a 10-15hp increase to around 215-220ish. They will most likely stick to the same 1.5 engine in my opinion and just tune it for more...

Those sport wheels are very nice. I’d love to snag a set for my Si. Not a fan of the ex ones but they look very Honda lol.

That to me seems to be the most likely scenario. I hope I’m wrong though. I love the type r but it’s just to much money for me and I’d love to trade in my Si for a hatch version but it just doesn’t seem likely to me that they make an Si hatch.

I think they keep Si as sedan only and only have the hatch performance variant a type r. My assumption is that having an Si hatch will make more people not $$$ up for the type r when the Si hatch would be 90% of the performance most people want. I could be wrong but Honda is pretty predictable...

I’m going to save my opinions about the looks until the Si+type r are shown. But I’m assuming another small bump in power probably about 10ish hp for the Si and maybe 15ish for the R. This will probably be the last generation of petrol only performance and I expect Honda to transition to full...

Hmm not a fan of that face but I wasn’t a fan of the 10gen right when it came out either. Maybe it’ll grow on me a bit. Looks unfinished especially the rear end. 10gen is wild though so maybe it’s toned down too much for me.

Yup that’s what I thought. It is annoying to sell it because the person who wants to buy it contacted Hondata and they told him that they have 1 for base turbo and 1 for Si. So it just adds a layer of confusion to people trying to buy one second hand.

I’m selling my flash pro and the guy buying it from me has informed me that Hondata support has informed him that their are 2 different flashpros for base turbos and Si turbo. My understanding is that they are the same unit and the flashpro is interchangeable between all 1.5t models si included...

When I first flashed it I noticed some slipping in the mid to high rpm range. After about two weeks it went away and now I have no issues, seems like the clutch needed broken in a little :drive: The +9 seems to drive smoother compared to the +6 also which is nice.

Really appreciate this lengthy review you’ve done. I’ve been running the +9 tune since august of last year and it has been great. Ktuner keeps throwing out updates that makes me want to make the switch but hopefully Hondata can keep up. I’m happy with the flashpro but they have some catching up...
