That black one is definitely what mine looked like at 4930 miles. I'll send mine in again at 5k~ with the new fill of Honda full synthetic and see what it looks like when I pull it out. I feel like as scary as it might look, that 5k miles is the safe spot honestly for normal drivers like me no...
Specially after seeing my oil at 4930 miles? ? I told everyone I would hold out until 5K and I did. I'm sure she's fine but, I can't wait to see what blackstone has to say about the state of that oil. In all honesty though that's probably what my 19 si looked like every time would be my guess...
I had mine located on the left side there on my 19si. I just used really strong double velcro tape and it never moved. Stuck it right on that fake carbon fiber. It didn't damage it at all either.
I did read that the oil being dark brown or black can mean it's still doing its job. That's what I'm thinking. I'll see what blackstone says but, yeah it was getting a little dark for my liking at the same time. I usually change mine around 5k though on my vehicles and always use full synthetic...
I mostly travel to work on the highway but, I live in a city so short trips happen as well, and my guess would be that's what's doing it is the short trips. I let it warm up for about a minute, drive easy until she warms up, I'll see what blackstone says eventually. I just ordered their kit. I...
This is what my stock honda oil looks like after 4930 miles. First oil change. No tracking of the vehicle just normal driving minus a couple of times where I was not driving normal for a minute or four possibly lol. I'm going to send it to blackstone.
Ordered my kit but, this is what it looks like at 4,930 miles. I did the recall today too. My buddy who's the dealers master mechanic did the recall fix and the oil change in about 40 minutes.
Getting mine done right now with an oil change at 4900 miles. Getting a sample of the oil to send off for evaluation. Friend here who's their master mechanic said 25 minutes tops and he did his yesterday.
Done. Took 40 minutes with oil change.
Yeah, I just feel like if I'm paying 3k+ murica dollars I shouldn't have to buy adapters as I don't really think that makes sense. I don't understand why there isn't more normal here, slap them on options honestly.
