I seen your for sale ad from CL. I want to buy it. Does it work perfectly? I'm ok with asking price. I'm in military currently station overseas so can not pickup in person. I can send check full price then you make shipment to my house in AZ after clears. Do we have deal?
Update: It took longer than expected but I have an appointment (dealer) next week to have the seat frame replaced. They had the parts but needed Honda approval along with scheduling an upholstery specialist.
That is correct.
Am I missing something with respect to the present ADM pricing for the FL5 or are you suggesting that present pricing for an FL5 is normal and that enthusiasts such as yourself and others are able to purchase your FL5's at MSRP or slightly over MSRP?
I have made dozens of...
I never made that claim, in fact, it's been the complete opposite as my issues with squeaking in the FL5 is probably the most documented on this site even making a youtube video about it...
Not accurate. The layout maybe the same but there are many differences including the use of entirely different materials. Even going from my Si (more upgraded than the base) to the Type R I was quite surprised how much more premium the Type R both looks and feels.
"You could argue that a Golf R is more complete, well rounded, easier to live with but given a straight choice, I'd have this (FL5) every single time...It's as much a serious driving tool as a Cayman GT4..."
How are these GTI numbers pulling on a 23 Type R?
0-60 MPH
6.1 sec
QUARTER MILE
14.6 sec @ 99.8 mph

But they don't have to sell at MSRP - is this just their way of being able to hold on to the technical claim of being an 'only MSRP' dealer?
Sales Guy: Hey we have some interest in the new 23 Type R, its MSRP right?
GM: You bet! That's our policy!
Sales Guy: Ok great, I'll let them know

I'm 6'2'' w/ long torso and the FL5 fits me fine, w/ at least 4-5 inches of space above my head and plenty of room for a helmet. Coming from an 11th gen Si w/ sunroof I'm getting what feels like another 1.5 inches or so of extra space.
Cannot comment on a non Bose stereo as it was standard on...
100% with the caveat being I was able to get into an FL5 with extremely reasonable markup for my area.
The Si made a great commuter/fun car with outstanding mpg but felt underpowered. I was at the xroads of dumping money into it to beef up the performance (wheels, tires, tune, bbk, dp, cai, fp...
Nothing other than you're paying 7-8k over msrp for a 5 year old last-gen model with no warranty. And be careful, sometimes under used cars are worse then moderately used ones. Overall seems worse than paying markup on a new FL5 and I could, personally, never stomach making such decision.
