  1. Gauging Interest on Rare Spec

I seen your for sale ad from CL. I want to buy it. Does it work perfectly? I'm ok with asking price. I'm in military currently station overseas so can not pickup in person. I can send check full price then you make shipment to my house in AZ after clears. Do we have deal?
  2. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

Update: It took longer than expected but I have an appointment (dealer) next week to have the seat frame replaced. They had the parts but needed Honda approval along with scheduling an upholstery specialist.
  3. 2023 Civic Type R First Test: The Numbers Are Surprising [Motortrend Review]

That is correct. Am I missing something with respect to the present ADM pricing for the FL5 or are you suggesting that present pricing for an FL5 is normal and that enthusiasts such as yourself and others are able to purchase your FL5's at MSRP or slightly over MSRP? I have made dozens of...
  4. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

I never made that claim, in fact, it's been the complete opposite as my issues with squeaking in the FL5 is probably the most documented on this site even making a youtube video about it...
  5. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

Not accurate. The layout maybe the same but there are many differences including the use of entirely different materials. Even going from my Si (more upgraded than the base) to the Type R I was quite surprised how much more premium the Type R both looks and feels.
  6. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) ✍🏻 🎥

"You could argue that a Golf R is more complete, well rounded, easier to live with but given a straight choice, I'd have this (FL5) every single time...It's as much a serious driving tool as a Cayman GT4..."
  7. 2023 Civic Type R First Test: The Numbers Are Surprising [Motortrend Review]

Why the fuck would you compare a DSG against a manual?
  8. 2023 Civic Type R First Test: The Numbers Are Surprising [Motortrend Review]

How are these GTI numbers pulling on a 23 Type R? 0-60 MPH 6.1 sec QUARTER MILE 14.6 sec @ 99.8 mph https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2022-volkswagen-gti-manual-transmission-first-test-review
  9. 2023 Civic Type R First Test: The Numbers Are Surprising [Motortrend Review]

Also puzzling how MT 0-60 was reported as 5.3 and yet Redline Reviews were able to hit 0-60 in 5.19 seconds, with driver and passenger.
  10. 2023 Civic Type R First Test: The Numbers Are Surprising [Motortrend Review]

Good read but not anything earth shattering...performance numbers that sit between the regular FK8 and LE but, nevertheless, a brilliant vehicle.
  11. East Coast FL5 Delivery Estimates/Confirmations

Congrats and welcome to team BB!
  12. SGP available in WA

But they don't have to sell at MSRP - is this just their way of being able to hold on to the technical claim of being an 'only MSRP' dealer? Sales Guy: Hey we have some interest in the new 23 Type R, its MSRP right? GM: You bet! That's our policy! Sales Guy: Ok great, I'll let them know GM...
  13. Some questions to FL5 owners please

I'm 6'2'' w/ long torso and the FL5 fits me fine, w/ at least 4-5 inches of space above my head and plenty of room for a helmet. Coming from an 11th gen Si w/ sunroof I'm getting what feels like another 1.5 inches or so of extra space. Cannot comment on a non Bose stereo as it was standard on...
  14. Is FL5 suspension too firm for daily driving (in comfort mode)?

100% with the caveat being I was able to get into an FL5 with extremely reasonable markup for my area. The Si made a great commuter/fun car with outstanding mpg but felt underpowered. I was at the xroads of dumping money into it to beef up the performance (wheels, tires, tune, bbk, dp, cai, fp...
  15. Is FL5 suspension too firm for daily driving (in comfort mode)?

No issues whatsoever. Comfort is softer than my 11th gen Si, and a tad firmer than a base Sport. It's a brilliant daily driver.
  16. Is anyone backpedaling from Type R to an Si?

Yeah....right. The only upgrade is a nicer interior
  17. Is anyone backpedaling from Type R to an Si?

Nothing other than you're paying 7-8k over msrp for a 5 year old last-gen model with no warranty. And be careful, sometimes under used cars are worse then moderately used ones. Overall seems worse than paying markup on a new FL5 and I could, personally, never stomach making such decision.
  18. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) ✍🏻 🎥

The great reviews coupled with the UK price ($57k US equivalent...ouch) should make many US buyers feel a bit better about paying reasonable ADM.
  19. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) ✍🏻 🎥

So stellar reviews in the UK and AU along with Top Gear's car of the year...looks like adm isn't going to get any better. :D
