Despite the doom and gloom posts, Honda build slots and supply chain is still amongst the best in the world.
The new CRV has a 9 month lead time in the UK, the Audi Q4 e-tron is over 18 months. The 11th gen civic launches in the UK in a couple of weeks and they expect to have a lot on the...
UK here - I also have a deposit down and am #1 at a major dealership.
The 11th gen launch event should have been last week, I'm now going to it on the 22nd before the full public launch on the 24th. There won't be any Type Rs there. Latest from the top is FL5 launch will now be mid-October -...
I think most comments in here are BS, we are buying or spreading what dealers are saying and most of those are guessing.
Take everything in here with a pinch of salt.
Everyone seems to have a friend on the inside but they are all contradicting each other!
Same in the UK - refundable deposit secures place in queue to order should a vehicle become available. If you walked in off the street to order you would be behind the deposit holders
It is pretty much understood & accepted in the industry that most manufacturers will never catch up - there are millions of vehicles missing from the roads. Forecast are 2024/2025 before supply problems are sorted, and that's if there isn't another regional or world event which is this day and...
My dealer principle friend was there and he messaged me this - waiting to have a proper catch up. He seems to think global figures are limited, not just UK
The UK Honda corporate event has just been held. Price has not been confirmed but physical cars were present. Those invited we're told the car would 'only be available in the hundreds over production lifecycle, not the thousands like before'.
Keeping everything crossed ?
The difference is probably down to environmental factors - I don't thing it has been specifically tuned to give more or less power in one continent, more tuned to better suit the environment in each continent (heat, humidity etc)
Thought I'd post as there is one about the USDM model. The JDM one is now available to order on the website - the power figures are 325bhp/300PS with 420Nm. The difference is power figures compared to the US will largely be down to environmental factors as opposed to restricting power for one...
No back-up plan for me - I don't need the FL5, I WANT it! If I don't get one i'll stick with what I have which is more than adequate until something else comes along that takes my fancy. I'm quietly confident that i'll be getting one though
Ordering is now up on the JDM site! Hopefully not too long for the rest of us. JDM/EU/UK spec is 325bhp/330PS

I'm just hoping the car is optimised for the roads, all roads, and not over focused on ring times that it sacrifices day to day driving. The ring is such a big circuit that you only have to find a tiny gain in one area for that to be amplified and add up to a big number at the end of the lap -...
They delivered form over function with the FK8, going in a style direction that split the community and their own design principles. Don't get me wrong, it was still a success & a great car. Regardless of engine, the FD2 (like Rs before it) went with function first, added enough design to show...
I'm not sure where the info in the graphic relates to, as it doesn't seem to show the ITR DC5 run. The ATR in JDM was actually the 'Euro R' (bizarrely), whereas Europe inc. UK got the Accord Type R powered by the might H22A7 2.2 litre VTEC engine. I'm in the UK and had a 2007 model in...
