Selling a Hondata Flashpro for the FL5 that I bought but never ended up using. Flashpro firmware has been updated to version 4.4.3.0 and is unlocked. Comes with the box, USB cable and stickers.

What I do is before getting out is to to make sure I'm touching a metal part of the door or doorframe as I'm exiting. Once I'm out of the car with both feet on the ground, then I let go of the door. The shock is from electrostatic discharge, so if you continue to touch the door as you get out...
Whatever height allows the hood to get enough force to close without having to press on it afterwards.
The car isn't made of glass and it's brand new with a warranty, you'll be fine.

I think cars should be viewed more as a system, rather than be judged from a small subset of metrics and statistics.
I can guarantee that regardless of how good the FL5 is, people on other forums are going to discount it because of its drivetrain and saying "lol FWD" rather than giving it a chance.
I would expand your search and cast a wide net outside of California and pay to have the car shipped. I was able to get MSRP last year from a dealer in Michigan.
Also, what is your time horizon for the car? MSRP can be attainable given enough time and patience.
