+1 on foglights!
Maybe a front lip? Bumper removal isn't required, but makes placement a lot easier when you can flip it upside down and not fight gravity. Easier on the knees, too.
I ordered the black leather set of armrest and panel covers from MIKSTORE.
I did this mostly because as an SI owner I can't stand the fabric covers they come with. I'm a dad with two messy kids, and I don't baby my car ("it's not a show car" as the kids say) so I wanted surfaces I could wipe...
And it's done - full success! I'm picking it up at lunch. What # does this put me at for the crew, 6? Assuming 6 until I hear otherwise. 🤪
Sidenote: my appointment was for 10:45am. They called at 10:37am to say it worked and I could pickup anytime. That's Great Lakes Honda West of Elyria, Ohio...
Ok, hold up - not meaning to threadjack but what's up with that dash and infotainment screen? Is there a video about that?
That said, the mirrors look nice, and a wider angle would be good. I'm currently sporting some stick-on bubble mirrors in the corner to help with blind spots. This would be...
Oh, and button installation tip:
1. watch this video for a how-to on taking the wheel apart -
2. To ensure I realigned the wheel on the correct tooth, I put a scratch on the wheel at the bottom notch and a corresponding scratch on the center-post tooth, both before removing the wheel.
Just got off the phone with Service at Great Lakes Honda West in Elyria, OH: they're leery, but willing to try so long as I understand it's no guarantee and worst case scenario is that I'd have to buy a whole new 2024 cluster to go back in case the programming causes the original cluster to...
I say lean into it. Drill some holes along the edge of the crack and zip-tie it all together. Use something contrasting and make it look like a battle scar. Joking, but also not joking.
"Dimensional weight," as they call it, is a bitch. Large/wide things are more expensive to ship because they have awkward shapes and take up more space in the truck than smaller boxes, thus displacing items that UPS/FedEx could have made more money on.
Ok, a few questions:
What's the cold call like? Who do you talk to first, sales? Parts and service? Are you guys literally just opening with "Hey, can you swap me to the updated cluster?" Not judging by any means. I'm just trying to make sure I get the best chances for success.
I'm the new...
I just did this last night, along with the mirror swap. It went very easily. In case anyone needs a tip on how to make a template, below are pictures from my template creation; I put masking tape down on the flanges, taped it to a sheet of cardboard, then slipped out (pulled very hard) the new...
No worries, first autocross (in my region) is still a few weeks off! PM me when you're back. I want to see if I can sell my old accessport from the old car first and make this a wash. Either way, consider it sold!
