Not sure what you're trying to say but assuming they will use up all the badges manufactured (in batches of 8,000)
the final number is more than 46,000 FK8 CTRs
We're seeing CTR Badges in the mid 40,000 in the USA and another batch is just arriving.

Swindon, UK was the only 10th Generation (2017-2021 MY) CTR production plant. Including the LE, total worldwide production was about 46,000 units, or about 9,200 per year. Total annual hatchback output at Swindon during this period was about 120,000 units per year. 9200/120000 = about 8 % of...
Not quite what the article says. 5th paragraph says: " Honda has for some time now sourced its core vehicles from Thailand – Odyssey (Japan) and Civic Type-R (UK) excepted." The last paragraph does imply the CTR will be built in Japan because "the Swindon plant is closed" but makes no mention...
Hopefully you didn't give them a significant deposit 'cause depending on the dealership and location you could be waiting a LONG time. If you're really anxious best look at other dealers and be willing to travel if they won't trade for what you want.
Tell the dealer specifically what you want. If they're any good, or interested in helping you, they can look for it for you and trade an equivalent auto they have with another willing dealer. That's how we got our Si in early '12. Do note that inventory is very low (how do you spell...
There may not be a 2022 Si - the Sedan Owner's Manual (out today) makes no mention of the Si or any of it's unique features (LSD, fuel. etc). I'd conclude the Si won't make an appearance until the Spring of '22 at the earliest, as a '23 Model.
If your question is would you buy a first new design/model year vehicle?
My experiences were all positive - '68 RoadRunner, '89 Probe, '12 Si - all were great drives for the time.
and, I'm looking forward to owning a '22 CTR. Just do your homework when choosing what to get.
There is already a thread(s) on this subject.
As it's "Made in North America" would expect we're first - postings indicate Spring 2021 for lower models, Fall for Si, CTR later.
