  1. Fuel tank size

I care, it means I have to go fill up during track days and more stops on roads trips. We don’t all live your life. i know there is a ā€˜refuel recommended’ setting in the system menu, so wondered if this had anything to do with the fuel indicator. Thanks for your helpful comment nonetheless…
  2. Fuel tank size

I’m hearing from a few U.K. owners the tank is not 47 litres, wondering if anyone else has tested the capacity? Seems the small tank just got smaller…
  3. Buzz Buzz

Awesome post. Having recently owned a Mercedes I know all about creaks and rattles - it took me months to diagnose and resolve a sunroof creak!!
  4. Front Plate Mount Options - FL5 Type R

I’m hoping the Euro spec cars don’t drill through the bumper. Due to the position it looks like clips…

  6. Custom DIY WeatherTech Type R Floor Mats

Nice work. Although receiving multiple comments about your floor mats suggest us car geeks need to get out more ;)
  7. Video of the White on White FL5 in Switzerland

Not a fan, but each to their own. Fair play for trying something different.
  8. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

This is spot on. If the rattle is really that bad, get the garage to sort it, but this type of car will creak and rattle, it comes with the territory. I’ve spoken to a couple of local U.K. owners, the cars are only a month or so old, but they’re both very happy. I know there is a know...
  9. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

The M340i will feel totally sterile in comparison. My 340i was as dull as dishwasher. Crazy you’re looking to sell up. Although this seems like a fairly isolated problem there will be a fix. Every owner review other than this thread talks about the step up in build quality.
  10. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

Strange that Evo would get that wrong, they’ve been in this game long enough… Turns out they are not the only ones. Here they clearly refer to the US model having a different tune. https://www.motortrend.com/news/2023-honda-civic-type-r-horsepower-numbers-leaked/amp/
  11. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

Just picked up on this in the Evo review.. I had no idea. ā€˜Japanese and European-specification Type Rs feature the full-fat tune, producing 324bhp at 6500rpm. Models sold in American and Australian markets make do with a 316bhp version for the sake of the lower-octane fuels sold there.’
  12. Build quality

Just be glad you don’t have a McLaren.
  13. Any UK people on here?

Looks awesome in SGP. It seems quite a few of the colours don’t photograph well - reflective showrooms don’t help. I’ll be happy with White, Blue or Grey, but after seeing these I’m far less worried about grey. It’s not that primer grey you see a lot of.
  14. I need to know which one of you is out here buying Type R’s for 70k

Surely by the fact dealers are free to mark-up as they see fit, it is. BTW I don’t think it’s a good thing.
  15. I need to know which one of you is out here buying Type R’s for 70k

It’s a free market. The U.K. dealer price converts to $55k. I wonder if the pro drive Impreza is worth $630k, but they all sold out. https://www.prodrive.com/post/the-prodrive-p25-a-recreation-of-the-iconic-blue-subaru-impreza
  16. Any UK people on here?

Got the call from my dealer the week before last. I’m lucky enough to be first on the list for a March car - was asked submit my colour preferences (blue or white). Selling my C63 estate (w205) to get in the Civic. Quite a move, will miss the sound, but no longer riding motorcycles, I’m...
  17. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

U.K. based current C63 owner, it’s a premium car but suffers from a number of creaks and rattles. I also hear it from new 911 owners. Although my BMWs over the last 10 years have been really good. This is disappointing to read, but all of the issues seem to have a fix. The Type R is firm...
