Not a surprise to me....Acura is a luxury brand, and we all know luxury does not equal value. ITS will be a great used car to buy in a couple of years, but if you're looking to buy new and keep your money 'safe' Type R is the better option. Price will likely be the same for both when its all...
I can tell you from experience that steering response/sharpness will be affected. I am running CE28SLs +42 with a 275/35/18 tire on my fk8, and have gone back and forth from my stock set up a couple of times. The most noticeable difference when I went back to stock was just how much more...
I have the same issue with my FK8, though it didn't start doing it until about 10k miles.
I just put it back into neutral and re clutch it and then it goes into first, weird but it is what it is.
I wouldn't say he was always running it hot, most of the time they we're hitting the canyons after 9pm and not getting back home till after midnight. During summer time he experienced heat soak, but he was also running a stock car with only a PRL intake and 18s instead of the factory 20s
TheTopher on YouTube has been working with MRT to develop a system for the FL5.
Showcased here is their 'muffler delete' system. I think it sounds pretty good!

Buddy of mine put over 65k miles in about a year on his 2021 FK8, and those we're not easy miles. He was hitting all the LA canyons daily, drove the car extremely hard. Went through 4 or 5 sets of tires, 4 sets of pads, a few sets of rotors....I think the only issue he was having was loss of oil...
Lol...majority of dealers don't even have a clue as to what Carsandbids is...you think all their GM's got on a zoom meeting and watched the auction together?
I had a mk 7.5 GTI before I got my FK8...quality was definitely better, the Fender sound system bumped too. I was definitely let down with my FK8 build quality and the sound system is ass, but driving dynamics and performance is in a different league.
I would say it depends on use case.
If I had an LE right now, and it was a 2nd or 3rd car along a daily driver and maybe a fun project car, then I would not look into the FL5 until maybe the final model year if they do come out with some sort of special edition.
If the LE is more of a daily...
