  1. Overshooting commanded boost targets

Much appreciated for going over my datalogs! as well as the extra knowledge in regard to boost/torque targets. Gave me extra peace of mind today.
  2. Overshooting commanded boost targets

Much appreciated for the reassurance and info! I'm uneducated of the limits of the OEM turbo. Despite being tuned, I honestly felt that hitting up to 26 PSI was bad because I remember reading somewhere that the factory tune originally limits boost at around 23 PSI, and that contributed to me...
  3. Overshooting commanded boost targets

I'm not doubting the guy and the info he told me, because he's been in the game for a long time and is very well regarded in the tuning community. But I wanted to post on here and get second opinions/knowledge from others. Because I've diagnosed everything that he mentioned and I'm still...
  4. Overshooting commanded boost targets

Yes, I have talked with him and also sent datalogs for review. He said that "The issue is not related to our tune. You will see the same result on any other tune". He also stated that the condition I am experiencing is a possible air leak, or a faulty Wastegate actuator but I have already...
  5. Overshooting commanded boost targets

I've been experiencing this problem, and I can't seem to figure out why. The car tuned to about 24 PSI target boost. When I was recording a datalog, doing a WOT pull starting at 3rd gear 2k rpm’s, all the way up to 4th gear redline, I noticed I am slightly overshooting the target when looking at...
  6. Jester’s Hondata thread

I actually emailed RV6 yesterday since I was looking to upgrade my OEM bypass valve for my FL5 stock turbo since I’ve seen people tearing them, and was told that it’s a direct replacement, even though it’s designed for the R660. I do know that it’s fine to run this on a OEM turbo, given that you...
  7. Hondata FL5 FlashPro released

Definitely agree! I’m just trying to see how much of a difference it would be before editing any of the parameters. But given my aftermarket DP and exhaust setup, I'm expecting it to still be loud. Adjustments will definitely be needed to further polish the sound. Sorta out of topic, but very...
  8. Hondata FL5 FlashPro released

I tested this out this evening, I uploaded the “Stage 1” as I’m currently running AWE’s exhaust system with an aftermarket DP, and man! sounds like gunshots lol. Will test out the Factory Type S mod tomorrow, since this is quite loud and annoying for a daily driver. I’m hoping that downgrading...
  9. Trunk tray ordered from ebay seller arrived all folded up

Yes, that part will need to be trimmed off in order to fit properly. At least for my USDM FL5, since we have a subwoofer. Like someone mentioned, some countries don’t have the subwoofer so just check and verify before cutting.
  10. Trunk tray ordered from ebay seller arrived all folded up

I bought mine from PRL in a similar fashion. Mine eventually straightened out naturally within a few days since I actively use the trunk space. Also, instructions require you to trim that little piece on the right where it makes contact with the OEM sub, to make it fit flush.
  11. RV6 Catted Downpipe and P1039 CEL

Dang, that's unfortunate. Not surprised since there's already been reports of RV6's DP getting CEL's in the past. Unless you have Hondata FlashPro, best way to clear the code is to get a cheap OBD II scanner as mentioned above. Once you clear the diagnostic code, you could try to purchase a...
  12. FL5 Active Sound Control (feat. Topher)

The TLX swap definitely sounds way better! it's unfortunate that the module only seems work in the Sport setting but the better sound outweighs the cons. Did you make a custom bracket to mount it properly?
  13. FL5 Active Sound Control (feat. Topher)

Let us know how it sounds if you swap! I've heard that it sounds less artificial compared to the CTR module, but after watching a few POV drives of the ITS on YouTube, it's hard to make out the differences without experiencing it in person :hmm:
  14. FL5 Active Sound Control (feat. Topher)

I actually placed an order of AWE's Touring exhaust system about three weeks ago so I should be receiving it very soon. For my situation, I think it would be pointless for me to swap the module and test it out lol.
  15. FL5 Active Sound Control (feat. Topher)

I've looked up the part numbers and it's interesting to see that the Type R ASC module is about 2.5x more expensive than the ITS one.. even though they're both in the same housing design. I haven't heard any interior sound clips of the ITS yet, but it will be interesting to see how the sound...
