  1. 27WON FL5 Exhaust System

no news is not good news, here. booo. take my money.
  2. Car wash scratched the hell out of baby type R

I don't use it on my R since it is ceramic coated, but Collinite 845 is solid, and comes in a sprayable form now that works well.
  3. Missed shift; Over Rev code

with an over-rev I'd be more worried about a bent valve or busted valve spring than bottom end issues.
  4. Weird metal clinking noise from front passenger wheel area

I've never used the brake hold feature once and this still happens to me a couple times a month.
  5. Infotainment Update to Include Google Assistant?

I wouldn't count on it. They'd have to update the Honda LogR app to work with the new OS, from what I understand.
  6. PPF longevity

One big variable is the film used. A lot of shops quote for 8mil film unless you specifically request the 10mil.
  7. PPF longevity

Most of those were spray-on coatings, they're more of a "ceramic light". They typically only last for 3-6 months. Actual ceramic coatings applied with an applicator will usually last anywhere from 3-5 years, or longer.
  8. PPF longevity

It wasn't even about the UV damage for me, it was mostly about how soft the lenses are. They can pick up microscratches/swirls when being washed that are super obvious when looking at the lights while they are on at night. Definitely worth the small cost IMO.
  9. PPF longevity

$200 would be the cost of everything you' need, and you' have cash left over. Gyeon, Gtechniq, Carpro CQuartz UK, DIY Detail are all good products. I went with the DIYDetail 5 year coating and am very happy.
  10. PPF longevity

also, if you do ceramic coat it, wait until after the PPF is applied. don't do it before.
  11. PPF longevity

Not really. It helps to top it off with a ceramic spray (something like DIYDetail's Ceramic Gloss) every 3-6 months for maintenance. You can spray it on the car after you wash it and use it as a drying aid, so once you towel it off, you're done. Modern stuff peels much more easily, they'll use...
  12. PPF longevity

Exactly this. If you're comfortable with a wash/decon and are happy with the paints current finish, you can do a ceramic coating in an afternoon easily. If you're comfortable throwing in a quick pass with a DA Polisher before the ceramic application, even better, but either way, don't be...
  13. PPF longevity

PPF is a lot better today than it was back in the 00's. XPEL has a 10 year warranty against yellowing/peeling/etc. I'd get it on the headlights to prevent swirls/light scratches from showing and hiding what's already there. the lens is super soft.
  14. 27WON FL5 Exhaust System

I'm guessing they meant due to the limited number of CTR's produced compared to something more available.
  15. Hondata FL5 FlashPro released

I've been wanting this feature too. You might have better luck with a device doing a replay of the necessary commands over the canbus, i believe that's how the trac-box worked on the 86. I've reached out to the people that made it before and they said they'd consider making an FL5 one in the...

  17. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

RV6 is tube and fin style.
  18. Type R Paint Issues

I swear it's just the PPF you already had applied peeling/lifting. Your PPF guy should fix it under warranty.
